Great full day tour on Dublins doorstep - The day with Gary was really a great experience for my wife and me. Gary provided interesting facts and figures about Ireland while he drove us out of Dublin and into the Wicklow Mountains. Amazing scenery just a short distance outside of the city. Gary recommended a beautiful hike/walk to see the lakes and waterfall in Glendalough. We were scheduled to tour the Powerscourt Distillery but as it turned out, the distillery was closed for a film shoot, with actors in period costumes and all. We ended up doing a distillery tour of Pearce Lyons Distillery in the Liberties in Dublin which was a very interesting place given its prior history as St. James church. Gary gave a great overview of the tour with the history of the areas we visited, and little known facts about famous local residents along the journey. Additionally his whiskey knowledge, Irish and otherwise is truly impressive. You can always tell when someone is truly passionate about what they do, and, Gary is that in spades. We highly recommend Irish Whiskey Tours.

What an experience! - Three friends and I traveled from San Diego to Ireland and booked a 5-day tour with Ireland Whiskey Tours — and honestly, it was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. Gary, our host, was incredible from the very beginning. He helped us plan the entire itinerary in advance and then picked us up from Dublin Airport in a super comfortable luxury mini-van. For the next five days, he didn’t just drive us around — he guided us through the country like a local who knows all the hidden gems. We focused mostly on whiskey distilleries, and everywhere we went, Gary seemed to have a connection. From the distillery teams to the hotels and restaurants, it felt like the red carpet was rolled out for us. Everyone was so welcoming — the Irish really are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. We explored Northern Ireland, spent time in the Boyne Valley, and got to know Belfast, which is such a unique city with a cool energy. Distilleries like McConnell’s, Titanic, and Bushmills (up near the Giant’s Causeway) were definite highlights. This trip was unforgettable. Great whiskey, beautiful places, and amazing people. Big thanks to Gary and Ireland Whiskey Tours for making it all so smooth and special.
