Great day to Chiang Rai - Wonderful tour to visit the white temple, blue temple, black house and golden triangle. When I saw 15 hours, I thought maybe that wasn’t the case but it was! However the longest drive of the day was the 4 hours at the end from Golden Triangle back to Chiang Mai. Some of the others in my group ended the tour in Chiang Rai which is a good idea if you can. We were at each stop for about 30 minutes. We had a little more time at the white temple. Bring lots of baht if you go because even if you don’t buy souvenirs, some of the toilets require payment (usually 5 THB). I wondered if it would be worth it since it took up my entire day and I can say it was. Great experience seeing all the temples. The guide MM was hilarious and she would talk about each of the stops before we got there so we had that entire time on our own at each stop to explore.

Enjoyable trip with lots to see - We really enjoyed the trip where we got to see everything we wanted. The trip was 14 hours but didn’t felt that long since there was always something new to look forward to. We hade a really lovely guide, Sarah, who had a really good sense of humour. Thank you!

Yes to White temple, but skip Golden Triangle - White Temple is as spectacular as it looks in pictures, but it feels a bit like Buddhist Disneyland. And Black House museum is seriously trippy. Definitely try the blue (coconut) ice cream at the Blue Temple, and the black charcoal soft serve ice cream at the Black house (but get the twist, as black was not as frozen as the vanilla). Golden Triangle was a big disappointment. Sure, you get to see Laos and Myanmar from the boat, but there’s nothing to see and it’s a bit depressing. And a long drive back to Chang Mai. I would recommend only doing White and Blue Temples and Black house and skipping tri-border area. Trip would have also been better with a better guide. Ours was difficult to understand, as well as boring and repetitive.

Too much for one day and driver was crazy - This is a really long day and the van was packed. The driver went way too fast and was sometimes dangerous. The guide spoke too fast and wasn’t clear. What we saw was fantastic but I wouldn’t go with these two again.

Horrible ride to Chiag Rai - Absolutely unreliable provider. Pick-up delayed by 1.5 hours Then a hell of a ride at 120 km/h in the city, several daring overtaking maneuvers (once an oncoming scooter driver was overlooked...). The stop at the hot spring had to be omitted due to time constraints. The route to Chiang Rai was completed in 2 hours instead of the usual 3 hours, of which the driver was also proud. At the White Temple we were handed over to another guide (P & T Travel), then the tour went smoothly. There was no response to complaints from the provider. If you love your life, book somewhere else!
