Fox Glacier - Spend up to 3 hours hiking on the Fox Glacier, The fly-in, fly-out heli hike combines the excitement of walking on the Te Moeka o Tuawe/Fox Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. By flying in you can access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest and often create spectacular ice caves and arches. You will be outfitted with boots and crampons specially designed for these ice conditions. You follow the ice steps cut by your guide as you explore the amazing formations.
Please note that this is a natural and ever-changing environment. Ice features change constantly and no guarantee can be given that specific features will be seen. This is a weather dependent trip.

Amazing tour with Sam! - We had an amazing heli-hike tour with Sam at Fox Glacier Guides. The pre trip briefing was excellent and the on glacier safety instructions were very thorough. We had plenty of time during the hike to experience the various features they had selected for the tour. Outstanding and highly recommended!

Don’t hesitate just book a tour ! - We booked in for the Heli Hike. When we arrived the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our guide Jack was great with his professional knowledge about the glacier. What a lifetime experience !
I highly recommend booking if you are in Fox !

Amazing experience, you... - Amazing experience, you feel like you are on another planet. It does require a bit of balance to maneuver some of the stairs and patience for the photo ops if you are with a larger group - we were about 15 people.

Awesome day - The Fox Glacier Heli-Hike was an incredible experience from start to finish! Everything ran like a well-oiled machine — from check-in to the helicopter ride to the hike itself. Big shoutout to our guide, Toa, who was not only super knowledgeable and fun but also rescued my phone after I accidentally dropped it into a crevasse (legend!).
The helicopter ride was amazing — we even got to rearrange seats on the way back so the girls could sit up front, which was a really thoughtful touch. The group organization was also great — not sure if it was intentional, but our group was a bit younger and more active, which meant we were able to move at a slightly quicker pace that felt just right.
The only suggestion I’d make is to include a designated snack break — they advised us to bring snacks, but we never had a clear moment to eat them, and it would’ve been nice to have a short, official pause for that.
Overall, a total bucket list experience. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

An unforgettable experience in Fox Glacier - Despite the cloudy, partly rainy weather, our guide, Jakey, truly made the day special with his friendly smile and professional knowledge. He made sure we had the best views to appreciate the stunning landscape, making the experience enjoyable for everyone in our group.
If you're considering a visit to Fox Glacier, I highly recommend this tour!

Amazing!!! - It is spectacular, we had an amazing experience. Would absolutely recommend and do it again! I normally get motion sickness, but was completely fine on the helicopter ride. I felt very safe the entire time and really enjoyed the heli ride and the hike. Make sure you dress warm and you’ll love it! They provide wet weather gear, shoes, crampons - they are very organised and the quality is excellent. The staff are all amazing, cannot recommend this experience and guiding company more highly.

Fox glacier heli hike is not to be missed!!! - An amazing experience! Our pilot was awesome as was our guide Campbell! Campbell was fun and also gave us interesting info on the glacier, he led us through crevasses and ice tunnels, it was absolutely awesome! Highly recommend this experience and Campbell!

Not what its hyped to be! - Drove 5 hours to take the heli hike! Definitely not what its hyped up to be!it was like a scout club stood around for a lot of the time! And were more focused on foreigners than others! Wouldn't do it again not this one anyways!Definitely not worth the money!on the up side did get some nice photos!
