• Wellington - Guests will be picked up from the cruise ship port in Wellington and driven to the trail’s starting point.
• Remutaka Rail Trail - Kaitoke - This is where your 28km ride begins. Embark on your journey with a gentle incline through native bush. Navigate through tunnels (headlights provided!) and cross bridges, while exploring information boards that explain the monumental effort of building the old fell railway system. Upon reaching the summit, enjoy a large grassy plateau ideal for a picnic or a refreshing drink, then experience a fun (yet easily manageable!) descent to Cross Creek in the Wairarapa, surrounded by some of New Zealand’s most picturesque farmland. Continue along the path to the Royal Hotel in Featherston.
• Wairarapa - Guests will be picked up at the Royal Hotel in Featherston, then transported back over the Remutaka Ranges, through the Hutt Valley, and returned to the cruise ship port (approximate arrival time is 3:45-4:00pm).

Please note: If you are on a cruise ship, pick-up is directly from the Port at 9:15am. We cannot wait for late arrivals, so please ensure you are on time, or the shuttle will depart without you! Return to the Port is between 3:45pm - 4:00pm. Please verify that your sailing schedule accommodates these times, as we cannot be held responsible if you miss your ship!

• Excludes on-trail guide - your friendly driver will brief you along the way and answer any questions you may have, but the trail is really easy to follow and full of information stations, so a guide isn’t really necessary.

Everything needed for this adventure is provided, including transport to and from your cruise ship, eBikes equipped with trunk bags for your belongings, and all meals. Simply dress appropriately and get ready to ride!

• Please wear appropriate clothing on the day - closed shoes with either shorts or tight-fitting pants for riding, along with a tshirt or similar and fleece / jumper in reserve.
