One of the Best Tour We ever had - We’re lucky today to meet Aaron, an amazing qualified professional tour guide who is a great guy with enthusiasm for his work. Born, raised and growing up from Wellington, he seems to know every corner and every story of his home city. He showed us the Lord of Rings filming site, harbour, downtown, Mt Victoria, parliament buildings and many more interesting highlights. He shared his thoughts and knowledge on everything. We learned a lot from his tour. We highly recommend his personal tour and believe that he’ll never let his guests down. Thank you Aaron! We wish you all the best!

Great trip to the Martinborough wine area with Kosher Tours - A very enjoyable trip from Wellington to the nearby wine area. Our guide, Aaron, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We visited four wineries and had a great lunch at Poppies winery. Our favorite two spots were Tiwaiwaka and Luna. We loved the reserve Chardonnay at Tiwaiwaka and the Blue Rock Pinot at Luna. Sam at Luna was party friendly and informative Would recommend Aaron and this trip to anyone

Windy Wellington with Aaron of Kosher Tours and travel - We had a great day in windy Wellington. Aaron, owner and tour guide from Kosher tours and travel was excellent. His continuing commentary throughout the day was much appreciated. He was knowledgeable about the area and added fun bits about his personal history. We saw way more in a day than what we could have on our own. Lots of view points, including the Brooklyn wind turbine and the Wellington cable car. We stopped at the Weta workshop and a bakery for an authentic Kiwi meat pie. The van we travelled in was comfortable with 8 people. Highly recommend this tour with Kosher tours and travel!

Absolutely the best possible way to see Wellington. - We had a party of four on a cruise, so the price for a private tour was not much higher than booking a regular tour. I booked it several months out. I quickly received an email from Aaron verifying my reservation and instructions on where to meet. The day before our arrival, Aaron sent me a WhatsApp message with his name and a photo so we would know who to look for. One of the things that helps so much is that Aaron is able to pick you up right at the port instead of having to ride the shuttle into town like the other 4500 passengers have to do. It probably gave us an extra 30-45 minutes. As others have mentioned, Aaron is very informative and personable. We revisited several sites, one right after the other. When we were at a site that was busy, Aaron was assertive to get us where we needed to be so that he could explain things. He’s very kind to other visitors, letting them “listen in”. I also appreciated the fact he was always mindful of the time and was sure to get us back to the ship on time. I am a travel agent in the US. I always like to book individual excursions to see what they are really like. This one will go to the top of my list for Wellington. Thanks, Aaron!

outstanding private tour in Wellington with John and Kosher Tours! - We cannot say enough positive things about our private tour in Wellington today (2/13/25). Our tour guide John, arrived early and picked us up in a nice sedan at the cruise ship terminal ( Holland America - Westerdam). My wife and i were comfortably seated and off we went! This tour truly was a highlight of everything Wellington, including many hidden gems! John grew up and has lived a lifetime in Wellington and he literally guided us through sites we could not have seen on our own if web had several days! From the history of Wellington to key-buildings, government sites, and home sites, neighborhoods, bays, and several lookout points…We saw it all! John was truly interested in what we wanted to see and we could spend as much (or little) time as we wanted at each location. A little stop in the middle of the tour at a wonderful little meat pie shop gave us the opportunity to have a little picnic near the ocean. We highly recommend John and Kosher tours! Amazing day and great guide - We had an amazing day! We toured all around the city, saw it from every point of view. Our tour guide (John) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to tell stories from someone who was born and raised in the city and share the experience of a changing and growing city. How the day went for us: there were 4 of us and we were picked up at the port. We started the day at the museum. John was very flexible, depending on what we wanted to do. He would have allowed for us to go through the exhibition at the museum (it is a cost) but we decided not to since it would take too much time and our time was limited to get back to the ship. We drove around the city where every block he would point out an interesting fact (a building was moved entirely or a building was condemned due to an earthquake or they moved the beach line etc). We went to our first view point atop of a hillside. We made our way around the city visiting beaches and view points. Visited a pie shop (as an American, I asked if it was for dessert, and it is not). We bought lunch there and it was delicious. We went to a beach/nature preserve to eat. Finished the day riding a cable car up to more incredible views. Then went to see the government buildings. The entire day was a wonderful experience. If you're looking to truly learn about a city and see it from every possible point of view, I would highly recommend you book this excursion.
