Tour the Town with Chocolate - We had an amazing chocolate adventure with Stella! Unfortunately the cable car was down for maintenance (which happens in August for 2 weeks) so Stella and her wonderful partner picked us up in their Tesla to drive us to the top for the views. From there we headed down toward the botanical gardens, which of course weren’t in bloom, but were still quite lovely. The first chocolate shop was a short walk from the gardens and was such a delicious experience! We had some hot chocolate and tried 3 different types of chocolate, where the ingredients were locally sourced. Even the artwork on the chocolate bars was done by local artists! La Petite Chocolate shop in Thorndon was delightful! We journeyed on to a quaint street, then headed past the beehive to Bohemian Chocolate. There we sampled some gelato and 3 chocolates, including some with Hokey Pokey. If you are an American and have never heard of this, and no it’s not the dance, give it a try as it is quite tasty! For a quick rest, we went to Le Ciel for an amazing cake and tea. The portions are enormous! It is a small business run by a dedicated young entrepreneur who makes excellent cakes! By the time we got to Devonport Chocolates, we were quite full, but still had a few samples, which were also delectable! The shop is inside an old bank that has been turned into a small mall. It was really interesting. Finally, our last stop was Wellington Chocolate Factory. There we could see the machines they use to make their chocolate on site, which was really cool! I’m not a huge chocolate lover like my mom who picked this tour, but this was a fantastic tour and Stella was fabulous! I am happy we did it as it was a unique way to see the city. Thanks Stella!

Chocoholics Go. - My mate told me about an awesome tour in Wellington NZ plus the guys contact details to book. Basically said “whatever you do, don’t miss it!” We booked the Wellington Chocoholics Walking Odyssey tour. What a fabulous and unforgettable experience. We tasted of a range of chocolate treats, plus hot chocolate, chocolate stout and pastries.. all from a range of locations around historic Wellington city. This is a 10 out if 10 tour that will blow your tastebuds away. Our guide was brilliant too. Like my mate said. “Don’t miss it!!!”
