• Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial - The dramatic and beautiful open-space memorial to the iconic 20th Century American civil rights leader is the second part of this stop. The spectacular statues, moving quotes, and unique landscaping on the Tidal Basin make the MLK Memorial a favorite in any season. Combined with the FDR Memorial, this stop takes approximately 30 minutes in total.
• Korean War Veterans Memorial - Your guide will lead you through this striking Memorial that honors those who served and died during the U.N.-led effort from 1950-1953. It features a field of soldiers against the backdrop of the memorial serenity pool and the wall of photographs etched into the polished granite wall. This stop is usually combined with the Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials.
• Vietnam Veterans Memorial - The renowned Maya Lin-designed “Wall” is the final stop on the morning tour. Its dramatic design and poignant treatment of the complex subject of America’s war in Vietnam, including the 58,479 names carved on it, make this stop especially interesting and moving.
