You do not want to miss out on this tour! - I landed in DC at 5AM due to some exhausting delays with my airline and was unsure if I would make it to the tour and I must say I am SO happy I stuck it out! This was such an amazing tour and the tour guide, Dre, along with the driver were incredible. Dre was so extremely knowledgeable I was constantly asking myself “how can this guy remember all of this? this is amazing ” because it was SOO much information but I say this in the best way because it was so awesome to see someone be so knowledgeable about the African American history of DC. This was my first time in DC and I must say I will be recommending this tour to all of my friends and family!

One, Two Mic check - Speak clearly into the mic. I have experienced several DC tours in preparation for family and friends visits. This guided tour was phenomenal, detailed, a plethora of knowledge dropped by Dre a walking history book. We visited places I never knew existed in DC. Worth every dollar.

Black excellence! - Our family loved our tour with Dre! He is so knowledgeable and we feel so grateful to have shared this invaluable experience with our kids. He went above and beyond not just sharing our beautiful history but creating pop quizzes for our oldest who was very engaged and also making a special stop for our daughter to get ice after taking a fall. He also went out of his way to make sure we got to see Frederick Douglas' house. I'm glad my kids got to see his house perched on top of the hill. Highly recommend!!

Best African American History your of the capital - Dre, our guide and tour leader, took us to every place of significance for people of African descent in the nation’s capital. His encyclopedic knowledge of names, dates, locations, times, and historic moments in the formation of our country was beyond impressive. I say this from the standpoint of having a degree in African American Studies, an earned PhD, and 25+ years working in this field. I recommend him and this tour without reservation.
