Tremendous tour. The tour... - Tremendous tour. The tour guide (whose name I have shamefully forgotten) was very enthusiastic and made the tour a lot of fun. Also very good value for money.

Different and entertaining - A different view of Stratford, and of Shakespeare. The guide is energetic and entertaining. The walk aspect is gentle and it lasts about an hour and a half.

Very enjoyable walking tour - Very enjoyable and interesting walking tour around Stratford. Particularly enjoyed the stories about treatments administered by Shakespeare's son-in-law for various illnesses 🙂.

Fantastic evening! - We loved this tour, exactly what we were after! No jump scares or scary moments, I'm not a fan, and neither is my 12-year-old, Great horrible, gruesome stories of history, with a very theatrical tour guide, making the evening fantastic. Some reviewers quote of the tour guide 'shouting' this was all part of the tour & if others can't recognise this theatrical, dramatic way of portraying the gruesome stories of the past, maybe they need to look at themselves! Our family (Mum, Dad, 16 & 12 yr olds) enjoyed the tour, with lots of unknown facts given of Shakespeare, other historical people from Stratford upon Avon. So, if you are looking for historical facts, have a sense of humour, find out about some horror stories, without being jump scared and want a lovely 90min evening walk around Stratford upon Avon, then don't hesitate to book! Thank you for a fab evening!

The ghastly, the ghosts and a giggle! - If you like your ghastly and ghostly tales served with a good sense of humour then look no further than this great walking tour. With a guide who has a real talent for telling a tale and stories from bygone years, the tour makes a fab first day or evening activity turning the tudor buildings, Church and riverside into an adventure into the harsher history of the area. As with all walking tours you need comfy shoes and reasonable mobility but it's a great way to get to know Shakespeare's stomping ground and learn about what you're looking at while visiting this super place.

Sinister Side of Stratford - great experience! - Really engaging performance from the guide, full of legends and truths about Stratford. There was only a small group of us (5 - 3 adults and 2 children) undertaking the tour, but our host really kept the energy up, kept us all fully engaged and span loads of interesting tales and legends about Stratford and the people who lived here. Great entertainment and a great way to see the town.

A rude, obnoxious guide. Do the Stratford Town walking tour instead, much better delivered by far more personable guide. - I love walking tours, history and theatrical guides but this guy was rude, insulting, patronising and appears to loathe tourists. He shouted at us all throughout, was overly dramatic to the detriment of the tales we wanted to hear and behaved as if we were all stupid. I cannot fathom why this tour is so well reviewed.
