Intense day of discovery - Long but really interesting day with tons of things to discover and learn. Krakow is a beautiful city and Auschwitz is a must see. It's so important to preserve such historical places.

You can't go wrong with this company - This company takes care of everything! Picked us up at our hotel, took us to the train station, got us on the right train, taxi met us in Krakow to take us to Auschwitz and Birkenau, took us back to Warsaw, met us at the train station and took us back to our hotel. You are taken care of every step of the way.

Poignant, educational, and enlightening tour - This Auschwitz tour works like a clockwork, everything was on time and managed in punctual manner. No time is wasted waiting. Initially we were confused because the communication on the bus from Krakow to Auschwitz was done in Italian while we booked the tour in English. We quickly found out from other passengers that apparently the English-speaking tour was put on the same bus as Italian-speaking tour. Later, at Auschwitz, our English-speaking guide - sorry, forgot his name - came on board and started to address us. The tour consisted of almost 4 hours of standing and walking to visit various buildings where atrocities were committed in both Auschwitz and Birkenau. Our guide was a passionate gentleman with amazing storytelling talent. It was a poignant tour that is both educational and enlightening. I've seen another concentration camp in Mauthausen, Austria, yet Aushwitz-Birkenau are on a different scale altogether due to its sheer size and evil.

Excellent Day Trip with Great Communication and Care - Communication with Agnieszka before the trip was fantastic, she responded quickly to every question and made sure we had all the information we needed in advance. Our first driver picked us up right on time at 4:00 AM from our hotel with a name card, so there was no confusion. He was friendly and made the early start a little easier! We then met the rest of the group at a central location and joined a mini bus of 7 people in total with our main driver, Maciej. The minivan was clean and comfortable, and Maciej was a fantastic driver, friendly, professional, and very accommodating. He reassured us that we could stop whenever needed, though we made one planned stop about halfway through. The total journey to Auschwitz took about 3 hours, plus a 30-minute break. The tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau was powerful and very informative. It was busy, but understandably so, it’s a significant historical site and that’s part of the experience. The company organised everything well and kept us on schedule. After the tour, Maciej was waiting for us with complimentary water, which was a thoughtful touch. He then drove us to Krakow Old Town (about 1 hour 20 minutes), during which he answered questions and provided useful information. We had 3 hours of free time there, plenty of time to eat, walk around, and explore the beautiful city center. The return journey was smooth, with another halfway break. Maciej dropped each of us off at our individual hotels in Warsaw. We also had his phone number the entire time, which made us feel safe and supported. This trip was incredibly well-organised, with excellent communication, a caring and professional driver, and thoughtful touches that made a long day much more enjoyable. I would absolutely book this tour again and recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Auschwitz from Warsaw.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Day Trip from Warsaw - I messaged them through “Contact tour operator” a few days prior to the trip because it was scheduled for Monday and I just wanted to make sure everything was in order. Agnieszka was very professional and patient. She answered all my inquiries and made the arrangements happen. They will send you the plan one day before the tour. AB Everest had to change the transportation from train + car to a full car ride, with a later pickup from Warsaw (7:30 am). I was told this was a more expensive option, but I did not have to pay extra, which was perfect considering the original itinerary listed a 4:45 am train ride. Our driver, Maciek, was very friendly and humorous. The Wawel Castle was free to visit on the day we went, but you still had to line up at the ticket office to pick up a physical ticket in order to enter, even though it was free. You will have enough time to explore Krakow Old Town. I went inside St. Mary’s Basilica and Town Hall Tower, and the Tower was free that day. The Auschwitz visit was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that carried immense historical weight. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Since it was a Monday afternoon, there weren’t many tourists, which gave us plenty of time to listen to the guide, ask questions, and take photos. I would highly recommend this tour if you are staying in Warsaw with limited time and want to visit both Krakow and Auschwitz.

I'm glad I went. - We drove from Warsaw to Auschwitz, stopping in Kraków on our way back. In Auschwitz we joined the local tour (English guide). I think the tour from Kraków is more likely, but I chose this tour because I was in Warsaw. It was a very peaceful, sunny day, with plants and flowers, and it was kind of unbelievable that there was a massacre in Auschwitz… The world situation is still unstable, and it is difficult to understand the damage and damage, and going to see Auschwitz is sometimes criticized as dark tourism, but seeing history in this way, on the ground, It seemed to have a certain meaning. The driver was kind and friendly!

Family trip to museum - Agnieszka Boczkiewicz was excellent. She picked us up & arranged for our tickets & kept us updated on changes to the return trip. The gentleman who picked us up at the end was great. The English speaking guide was great. The only downside was listening to 1 hour of Italian on the way to the tour.

The tour of Auschwitz... - The tour of Auschwitz itself was wonderful. The English speaking guide was easy to understand and it was very organized. We could have benefited from more time at each exhibit to take in the experience. Our drivers to and from the train station were punctual and friendly. Everything was very organized…ie. train tickets, directions etc. Our only complaint was our driver to and from Krakow to the museum. Although he was friendly and comical, he had the radio so loud throughout the 1.5 hour ride it was very over stimulating. The driver also did not keep the van at a comfortable temperature.

Read the fine print first - To be clear, Auschwitz was incredible. Incredibly moving and powerful. Also, the tour ran smoothly and our guide was fantastic. However, I’m giving this three stars because: (1) I thought this was going to be a small group, but it was a large group of over 25 people on a large coach bus; (2) the tour starts with 5 hours, walking around Krakow at your own pace (much more time than needed). Then it’s followed by 3 hours of walking around Auschwitz. If I had to do it again, I would’ve chosen a tour that did Auschwitz first and then 2-3 hours in Krakow, that way I wouldn’t be exhausted during the best part of the day; (3) it is a very long day. I was picked up from my hotel at 4:55 AM and I got back to my hotel at 1 AM. So it’s a 20 hour day. Other than these 3 things, everything went smoothly. The trains ran on time. And the guides were great.

We had a disappointing... - We had a disappointing experience. The bus from Krakow to Auschwitz was 1 hour late and we were left standing in the sun with repeated reassurance that it will just be another 5 minutes. The delay ended up with us not getting enough time for Birkenau, a hurried walkthrough. The driver who took us there did not seem to have any idea of the return train times. Overall, poor coordination between the organizer, the driver and the guide. Viator needs to do a better job vetting the tour provoders we end up booking through.
