Above and Beyond!! - On our tour we joked that our driver, Maciej, was the #1 driver in Poland. I’ve got to say at the end of the trip I absolutely believe this is true. One thing to know about tickets to Auschwitz— they are very difficult to reserve. You’ll find a lot of tours that will cancel your tour 24-48 hours ahead of time if they are unable to procure tickets. But for a once in a lifetime visit like Auschwitz, many people may not have another opportunity to visit. Kris with AB Everest kept in very good communication with us for several days before the tour keeping us updated on the quest to get tickets and giving us alternate options for seeing different camps or going very early in the morning to get the tickets held back for each day. I really felt like they knew how important that this trip was to us. (i also understand that the issue they had with tickets is a recent issue for all tours companies caused by changes with protocol at Auschwitz and don’t happen all the time.) We chose the “leave at 3:30 am” option to arrive at the ticket gate to hopefully be first in line for tickets. When we arrived at 6:30 am the line was the longest our driver had seen. But he stayed with us in line and kept checking on progress and offering us options to change times for the Krakow portion and managing expectations for wait times. Despite very little sleep and a less than ideal situation he kept all of us cheerful in the wait and the wait time went much more quickly than we had feared. Many other tour drivers just left their customers in line with no instructions or feel for what was happening. Those people would ask Maciek for help and he was so cheerful and helpful with them as well. By the time we finally got tickets they were for later in the day, and rather than cancel the Krakow afternoon tour portion Maciek made it work where we could do Krakow first then come back to Auschwitz. We all really appreciated his attentiveness and friendliness and flexibility and humor and even consider this almost 19 hour day one of the highlights of our whole vacation.

Auschwitz and krakow by car tour - Driver was nice and courteous. Long drive to Auschwitz and krakow and back to Warsaw but worth it. Total on the road was about 7-8 hours…Too crowded at Auschwitz at museum and sites. Lots of walking for about 2.5 hours. I missed most of the lectures busy taking pictures and looking around. Might have to go on their website online tour later. Had late lunch at downtown Krakow , was too tired to shop and walk around so went to a hotel lobby and waited for the car to head back. Overall it was a meaningful tour…so many human beings died cruelly and unnecessarily, so sad…

Great tour if short on time in Warsaw - If you’re staying in Warsaw and short on time, I highly recommend this tour. Just know that you’ll be in for a really long day. I left around 6 AM and was back in Warsaw by 11 PM. If given the option, I recommend upgrading to the high speed train. It’s only $25 more each way. It was about 2.5 hours to Krakow, and I was given about 3 hours to wander around before catching a small bus to Auschwitz. We spent about 3.5 hours at Auschwitz/Burkenau before heading back to Krakow where I had about 30 mins before my train back to Warsaw departed.

10/10 Can't Miss Experience - The tour guide was incredible from start to finish. His passion of the history and reality of the horrors at Auschwitz made it an unforgettable experience. It is hard to put in words how wonderful he was, despite the subject matter. One of the best guided tours I've ever been on. Otherwise, the communication and transportation provided was very clear and helpful. I was picked up from my Airbnb, dropped and led through the train station where I was provided my ticket, lead to the train, then had a wonderful time exploring Krakow. The tour in Auschwitz was unforgettable. Myself and other travelers actually got off at the wrong station on the return train, and I called to inform the organizer, who promptly let the driver know where to pick us up. Highly recommend, was impressed from the service start to finish!

Booked the tour almost two months in advance - Booked the tour almost two months in advance, and even confirmed with the tour operator the time I would be picked up and what train I needed to be on in the morning. Unfortunately, about three days before departure, I was told the tickets hadn't been purchased in time and were sold out, so I wouldn't be able to visit either Krakow or Auschwitz. Instead, a visit to Lublin and Majdanek was offered or a refund. Since it was so close to the tour date, there was no time to pick another tour operator or select different arrangements. Majdanek was interesting and Lublin was okay to see, but it wasn't what I paid for, and I was disappointed that tickets weren't purchased in time. However, the tour operator was communicative and did their best to try to accommodate us for the inconvenience and make things right. I appreciated the effort, but nonetheless was disappointed. The driver and van was really exceptional though, pick up and drop off went wonderfully. I'm certain this is normally a great tour that's well planned, but I am not totally satisfied with the service received.
