• Longshan Temple - Situated in Taipei’s oldest district, historically known as Bangka and now called Wanhua, Longshan Temple was constructed in 1738 and stands as one of Taiwan’s most renowned temples. It has borne witness to numerous significant historical events, including the early settlers who developed the greater Taipei area, the Sino-French War, Japan’s 50-year occupation of Taiwan, and various community conflicts. Longshan Temple serves as an enduring testament to Taiwan’s socioeconomic history.
• Bopiliao Historic Block - This block is essentially a single ancient street with a history dating back to 1799. It showcases 18th-century architecture that was restored and reopened to the public in 2009.

Its historical importance is partly due to its location, as it was once the main route from Bangka (now Wanhua) to Guting Village during the Qing Dynasty (1683-1895). The end of Bopiliao Street was a crucial military base during the Qing Dynasty.

The block features a variety of traditional shop houses from the Qing dynasty, as well as buildings from the Japanese occupation (1895-1945) and the early post-World War II era.

• Mengchia Qingshui Temple - Built in 1787, the Bangka Qingshui Temple’s worship practices were brought to Taiwan from China’s Fujian Province, specifically Anxi County in Quanzhou, where many of Taiwan’s earliest Hokkien immigrants originated. The Hokkien people were among the first immigrants to Taiwan, establishing homes and businesses across the island.
• Bangka Qingshan Temple - According to legend, when the Hokkien immigrants first arrived in Taiwan, a pandemic was causing widespread illness. The Qingshan Temple was one of the few places unaffected, quickly becoming a popular site for locals to pray for health and safety.
• Huaxi Street Night Market - Also known as Snake Alley, Huaxi Street Night Market is a predominantly indoor market stretching from Bangka Old Street to Longshan Temple in Taipei’s Wanhua District. The market is known for its unique offerings, including snake and turtle meat, providing a night market experience in Taiwan that feels reminiscent of Southeast Asia.
