Petra - (Petra 3 hours guided tour )
I would highly recommend we start the tour early morning to avoid crowdedness, hot weather in summer and taking an enough time to explore the city.
We start by walking on the main trail (Distance: 4km ) , the trail starts from the visitor center of Petra through The siq to The Treasury , climbing up a mountain to see the theater from the top like Birds eye view , then will see The royal tombs, The colonnaded street, and finally The Dushara Palace (Qasr Al Bint) ,
The expected time to finish this trail is usually 3 hours , but time may varies on how fast you may walk but minimum of 2.5 hours .
Climbing up to the Monastery isn’t included , but may be discussed by the end of the tour .

Knowledgable and Fun Tour Guide - Bassil Alfarajat was an amazing guide to visit one of the modern wonders of the world, Petra. He mixed in knowledge of ancient history, recent history, culture, anthropology, and architecture. He was also fun and addressed any or all questions we had. He made the experience of exploring such a magical and wondrous archaeological site that much better. Highly recommend.

Petra with Bassil! - What an experience! My partner and I completed our tour of Petra with our guide, Bassil, and we’re absolutely glad we did! Bassil was very punctual, professional, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, thorough, and he’s also a great photographer! We wholeheartedly recommend this tour, if visiting beautiful Petra!

Live your best life, tell a great story. - My wife and I had an incredible experience with Bassil as our guide. He showed us a magnificent experience walking through The Siq and preparing us to the awe inspiring Treasury. He gave us such detailed history and helping us hike to see amazing views of the Theatre. Before we parted ways, he helped show us the path to the Monastery. This is definitely an experience you'll want to book and hope you receive Bassil as your guide!

Unforgettable tour - My brother and I had the best experience with Bassil. We took two different tours with him: Main site Petra and Petra "back door tour" to see the Monastery. He shared his expertise and knowledge throughout our tour, making the experience unforgettable and creating lifetime memories. He also took beautiful photos. I highly recommend Bassil if you want to take either of these tours.

Absolutely incredible - This was such an incredible tour. From the moment I meet the guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable about Petra(being a local) he is immensely knowledgeable about the history of Petra. He knew the answers too all my questions. He took enough time to stop and show me all of the intricate details and things I would have overlooked if I had gone alone.

Seeing Petra with a local expert - I had only one day in Petra and going there with Bassil made all the difference! He is a passionate guide who was born there and knows everything about the site! The tour felt like we traveled in time and saw all the greatness of that civilization. His English is also excellent, by the way. I highly recommend him!

Amazing tour of Petra! - Bassil was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and personable. I had considered walking through Petra without a guide and I’m so glad that I didn’t! There were many things he pointed out on our 3 hours tour that I would have missed otherwise. One of the best tours I’ve been on and truly a bucket list item! Tourism is down in Jordan because of the war but I honestly felt very safe there, with it being the winter months as well it was a good time to go for less crowds!

Fantastic journey through the rose city! - Bassil was such a great guide who gave us a good background knowledge about Petra, its occupants, and its long history. He was able to point out so many carvings and features we otherwise would have missed. We left feeling like we had a good understanding of what Petra was and its importance for the region.
We were shocked by how empty Petra was during our visit. Everyone was so friendly and grateful for the few tourists there during Feb 2025. If you want to see Petra without the crowds - now is the time!
Bassil also helped us find a great local spot for dinner and recommended his favorite dishes which were all fabulous! I hope we can come back to Wadi Musa and meet again.
