For the second leg of our tour, our destination is Sighisoara’s core, Europe’s last inhabited Citadel. Marvel at its cobbled byways, quaint alleys, and vibrant residences. The Old Town Square, an UNESCO safeguarded site, boasts of medieval architecture, a legacy of the Saxon settlers of the 1100s. They also erected numerous formidable towers, each bearing the name of their respective guilds. If medieval history stokes your interest and curiosity, Sighisoara is your ideal spot.
