Lucky to fly over Vilnius - When it’s your first time, sometimes you don’t realize how lucky you are! We had booked this hot air balloon to fly over the city of Vilnius, one of the very few cities in the world where you can overfly with a hot air balloon. Usually, it’s in the countryside. The weather was perfect, the pick up was seamless, the staff was friendly and the pilot highly competent! Everything lined up only to find out that most times they have to detour away from the city because of the air traffic control for the airport. Be prepared for the pivot which, luckily, we did not have to do! And oh, what a view! You jockey between 1000 and 4000 feet up in the air. There will be other balloons in your pod, which only adds to the excitement. There are four corners to the basket in each corner holds four people. There is minimal amounts of physicality having to crouch with bended knee at the landing. Safety first was always their mission! Pro tip: if you are taking the sunset ride, you will most often land up in a field full of mosquitoes. Best to wear long pants, closed, toed shoes, and a sweatshirt. Consider bug spray as well. Clientele mostly Lithuanian, but everybody, including pilot and guides speak English. Highly recommend even for people, like me, who are scared of heights!

Excellent hot air balloon ride. - This was one of the best hot air balloon ride I have ever taken. The view over Trakai (including the castle) was exceptional, especially at sunset.

Best experience - Due to the weather, the flight was scheduled in Trakai. I enjoyed the wonderful mood at my leisure. I saw pretty castles, lakes and forests, and was especially impressed to see balloons, flocks of birds and deer in the meadow below. The staff preparing the balloon, the pilot pilot pilot, was a meteor pro.

Incredible Ballooning Experience - From start to finish, the experience was extremely well-organized and professional. The team was punctual and clearly safety-conscious, which made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire flight. The pilot gave excellent explanations about the process, the landscape, and what to expect, which added a lot to the experience. The views were absolutely spectacular—truly unforgettable. We felt safe and looked after the whole time. Highly recommend!

Excellent trip. Well organized! - The crew did a great job from pick up to assembly of the hot air, balloon, to explaining the entire process, communication great. Only thing I would recommend is be sure to bring bug spray, both of the takeoff and landing fields are infested with bugs. Otherwise great trip.

Amazing view of Trakai, great crew! - It was a memorable experience as it was my first time riding on a hot air balloon. The first hour, we were driving around trying to find a spot to embark but once the team found one, the balloon setup and embarkation was smooth. The view was breathtaking and we even spotted a few wildlife from the air (deers, rabbits). Be wary of the landing as it can get very bumpy fast and a bit scary. The end celebration for surviving the flight was nice!

Breathtaking views of Lithuania, once in a lifetime experience. - Absolutely amazing experience! 10/10. Everything was very well organized - pick up, the flight, drop off, everything. There was great advanced communication about the plan/timing for day of. The day of we were supposed to fly over Vilnius, but the pilot told us when we got there that there were a lot of departures/landings at the airport, so we were going to go to Trakai, which was fine with us. But I think if you are set on Vilnius they try to coordinate reschedule options. The pilot and the whole crew was amazing and I felt so safe. I was worried I was going to feel insecure in the balloon, but it was very relaxing and breath taking views! We went in June 2025 and wore sweatshirts as it gets a little chilly up there depending on the weather. Also afterwards when we landed there were a lot of mosquitos at dusk (for the sunset sail) so it was nice to have full body coverage while we waited for them to put the balloon away. We brought a tiny bag up to put phones, etc. in, which was fine, but I would not recommend a larger bag. Also just FYI you do not have access to a toilet for a couple hours (no toilets at the launch or landing site).

Trakai non Vilnius - The flight is fun but you fly over the Trakai lakes but not the old town of Vilnius. Very accurate organization. Very good pilot
