Warm, cool, casual, atypical - Very nice discovery of this estate whose owner had an atypical vision of wine production compared to other estates. Guided tour in a friendly style.A friendly tasting also. I recommend.

Unique Domaine - This wine tasting was very interesting. Our english speaking guide took us through the wine making and aging process and then into the cave for tasting the different vintages of whites and reds. The wine are regional Burgundy reds and whites. There are no Grand Cru or Premier Cru, but they emphasize aging and the way the wines mature. The wines were excellent and very reasonably priced. We shipped 4 cases of 6 bottles back to Texas. There was a drawing table for our 4 year old to play on while we tasted. She enjoyed the entire experience very much. The lands surrounding the Domaine are exceptionally beautiful and it is only minutes from NSG.

Fantastic tour to understand Burgundy wine and taste it too. - We had a fantastic time hearing about the winemaking process and seeing all the equipment and finishing with a really informative tasting. Mathieu is clearly passionate about his subject and it shows in the pride he has for his business. He gave us some really interesting information about all aspects of wine in the Burgundy region, some of which we hadn't appreciated. The tasting was wonderful and so much better having understood what goes into the process. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice and tasty experience - Expert and light-hearted explanation of the wines, the domain and the region by the winemaker himself.
Visit to the cellars.
Tasting and possibility to purchase the wines (good price / quality).
I plan to go back and recommend the house to friends and family.

Great way to spend an hour or so! - Our host, an experienced sommelier gave us an insightful tour and answered all our questions. We tasted a selection of their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines and were able to buy our favourites. Thank you so much !

Authentic, personal tour with promising Bourgogne wines - Nice personal story and tour. My husband has trouble walking but the owner took an easy slower pace so it was enjoyable for everybody. We could ask all sorts of questions about the wine. He made nice links to our countries of origin. Also by having introduced ourselves it gave the tour a personal touch and we got to know each other. The location is beautiful and authentic. The wines extraordinary especially the Chardonnay Jimenee.

Not great wines - If you know about Burgundy wines then you will consider the wines from Domaine Montmain to be average at best. Whites are better than the reds but Burgunsy is famous for reds! They are all Pinot noirs. The tour was okay I think the guide did a decent job. I just wish the wines are better.
