Fantastic trip - Myself and my partner had a fantastic time on this excursion. We got picked up directly from our hotel and had a pleasant trip. It was a small group which was lovely. The food at Godega Reveron was delicious. It was such a lovely restaurant with breathtaking views. The staff were so friendly. I even bought a bottle of wine to take with me from their very own winery at a fantastic price. The star gazing was amazing and the tour guide was very informative. We thought it was excellent value for money.

Great experience - long coach journey - We thoroughly enjoyed this trip apart from the journey home. We were the second to last pick up on the way so weren’t on the coach for too long. The stop at Bodega Reveron was lovely - delicious food and wine, and the kids were treated to a nice chocolate bar at the end of their meal. The main event of stargazing was spectacular and our guide was personable and knowledgeable. The only downside was that we were the second to last drop off on the way home - so we were on the coach for 2 hours, getting back to our resort at 1am. This wouldn’t have been so bad if the last toilet stop hadn’t been at the Bodega at about 9pm!

Very informative but long coach journey - This is difficult to review as there are different aspects of the tour worth considering. We got picked out from our hotel at 18.35 then spent well over an hour picking other people up before arriving at Bodegas Reveron winery which was a long climb up mountain roads in a small Mercedes air conditioned coach which is quite cramped. The winery meal was excellent, we had a 3 course meal with plenty of wine and a vegetarian option was offered, everything was home made, hot and delicious. We then had the opportunity to buy wine, use the loo ( last one of the evening) before ascending to a car park quite high up mount Teide. We alighted our coach for a 45 minute talk by a guide who knew everything there was to know about astronomy, he was amazing, speaking in both Spanish & English. If you are remotely interested in astronomy this would be really good, but you are stood outside in the cold so take some extra layers, he used a laser pen to describe all the main stars and constellations and answered everyone’s questions. Then we got back on the coach for another 1 1/2 hours for the hotel drop offs. On the mountain it was a nice night there were no clouds or winds & the temperature was about 13C so was ok, the main problem for us was the long coach rides. I wouldn’t recommend this for children as I think they would get bored. We got back to our hotel around midnight.

A mixed bag! - So really mixed thoughts but if asked I wouldn’t recommend. The good things - comfy coach, dinner at bodega reveron was lovely, quantity and quality really good with a real homely feel and stargazing lead knowledgeable. However…… time on coach far too long, would be better if one language group at a time, otherwise just standing around for quite a while aimlessly. As others have said it felt like being stuck in a car park which took away from the information being provided. Not really what we expected. That will teach me to read the description more carefully next time - and read reviews first!

Disappointing - This tour should be titled winery dinner as it was more about the dinner than stargazing No telescopes, guide was reading from his ipad, we booked a tour in english only it was 20 mins of spanish and a 5 mins english explanation for everything, we learned nothing new we only saw few constellations pointed at with the laser, for the rest it was an extremely long ride, changed buses & of poor interest Save your money & time most importantly as it was a waste of an evening

Health & Safety Failings - On the 17th July we went on this excursion. Our hotel, the Hideaway Corales Suites booked this for us. The below summarises the dangerous nature of our tour. The vehicle was not operating in accordance with Spanish MOT guidelines. Good Morning, It is with regret that I am writing to request a full refund from the stargazing trip last night. The reason for this request is not simply the delay caused by the issue with the Driver locking the key in the vehicle. The issue is health and safety. Three incidents led to this" 1. After dinner, and on our way up to the viewing spot, we had to stop as the engine was over heating. 2. Within five minutes of arriving at the viewing spot, it became apparent that the vehicle was not accessible as the keys were onboard. The emergency handle on the side of the vehicle was broken. This is unacceptable. 3. After over two hours of waiting, and encouraged to go to the toilet in the open space if required, we left the viewing spot. We had to stop three minutes later because the driver had left the rear compartment boot open. As a family, this was a disappointing trip. As a parent and adult, it was unsafe. We made the entire journey with a vehicle whose safety features were inoperable. I do apologise for making a complaint. However, the safety of this tour was inadequate. Regards The response from the tour company, and our hotel is... these things happen from time to time. The hotel is particularly disappointing as we asked them to assist us. The emergency handle is a legal requirement. It could not be opened. In a area with no reception and pitch darkness. Our first and last trip to a Barcelo, and definitely this tour company.

Authorized theft stargazing trip without seeing the stars - Visit of the star tour without No stars...70 euros wasted...!!! We pass the time on the bus, we arrive at a nice restaurant, nothing exceptional... average wine and dinner...then we go back on the bus and get to the highlight of the trip to see the stars but nothing, all dark and not even a star …then we get back on the bus and go home…without light and stars, obviously a theft of 70 euros is useless…!!!! They could have postponed it if they knew that there were no stars based solely on this, the theme of the excursion...no comment!!! Ps the tour is not in Italian but in all other languages, the astronomer was kind and also translated into Italian for us.

An Unforgettable Experience - but one I would rather forget - This could have been a good trip but it was immediately marred by getting onto a boiling hot coach which when I enquired after about 10 mins that the air conditioning was not working. This would seem fairly irresponsible during a local heatwave - temperature displayed on the coach dashboard when we got on was 34 deg C. We then proceeded to drive around for an hour picking up the other passengers before heading for Teide National Park. By this stage my kids aged 8 & 6 were already destroyed by the punishing heat on board. We made our way to the vineyard restaurant where we were informed that we would be served our meal and afterwards would have the opportunity to taste some of the wine and purchase from the shop. The staff were warm and welcoming and the dinner was good but once dessert was served we were informed that the coach would be leaving in 10 minutes and we should get to the toilet as there would be no other opportunity on the trip. We set off again and there was some commentary from the guide but this was mostly inaudible due to the poor sound quality on the coach. We finally arrived in a lay-by where we were treated to an informative chat about the night sky which I enjoyed but was distracted by cars passing by with full beam on which did little for my night vision. It was quite cool at the top which was a blessed relief after the roasting in the coach. It was then ‘all aboard’ for the reverse journey, descending back into the heat accompanied by an in-depth tour of the hotels of Tenerife. This maybe will be an unforgettable experience as billed but for all the wrong reasons. This is too expensive, the travelling goes on too long, the stops are too short - this should not be billed as child friendly. I appreciate that ‘things happen’ but in this case, as soon as it was known that the coach A/C was not working, customers should have been made aware and been given the option to cancel and been offered a refund especially with unseasonably high temperatures.
