Lovely evening and great value (but make sure you get them to confirm the pick up time!) - My husband and I went on this tour and really enjoyed it. I should just say that there was a communication issue with pick up time which did mean we were picked up 55 minutes after the allocated time, however I am still giving five stars (4.5 would have been ideal). The transfer, once we were on the bus, was extremely efficient. Also, it was a nice sized group of only about 16 people. The first stop at the vineyard for dinner was delightful - nothing fancy but a good hearty meal, excellent service and generous with the wine! We then proceeded to the area for star gazing. I should say that, no, this is not the top of Mount Teide (you need a cable car for that and that only runs during the day) but it doesn't matter because you are still very high and it is very dark. It was very windy so don't forget warm clothes. We then had an hour of star gazing with our guide explaining what we could see and answering any questions. Again, no, we did not use telescopes, but we weren't expecting to because we had read the itinerary in advance. The driver was excellent - yes, lots of hairpin bends but it is a mountain.... Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening and excellent value for money.

Mount Tiede - From start to finish , what an amazing experience , we booked with Tui. Isobel our guide on board was so knowledgable, funny and friendly. Breathtaking views once in a lifetime dream to see the stars and the moons through a telescope.

Stargazing above the sea of clouds - If you’re into Stargazing, I wouldn’t miss an opportunity to see them like you have never saw them before! What an experience. Communication from your guide before the trip was ideal before we set off, hotel pick up, a lovely meal from a vineyard high up in the hills was so good, especially with some wine tasting, and a chance to buy some local produce, wine and souvenirs, then back on the bus for our journey up to Mount Teide. The tour guide explains everything using a laser pen in Spanish and English. He points to all the constellations and even though we saw so much stars, he said you would be gauranteed to see more of you went later than we did! I was impressed with the tour and what we saw and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend to others to go, but I am into star gazing and found it all so very interesting. When I return to Tenerife I would definitely do this trip again! Just wonderful.

Educational with Great food - The Meal at the Revron restaurant and winery was excellent. The people were welcoming. The Astronomer was very knowledgable although he did make me feel like l was back at school. Don’t go on a night with a full moon as you don’t get to see as much.

"Lost" Our Reservation - A friend and I booked the Teide Under the Stars Experience in November 2024 directly through the Viajes Teide website and received a confirmation email with our tickets attached. We were at the bus stop at our allotted time, but no bus arrived. We called Viajes Teide and spoke with someone who realized our reservation had gotten "lost." However, they knew my name based the date of our excursion and my phone number, so clearly I was somewhere in their system. Secondly, the person said other guests had complained that there was an issue with their booking system some time in November. So Viajes Teide knew there was an issue, and had my information somewhere, but still did nothing about it. As this excursion is only offered twice weekly, we could not accept their reschedule. They have processed a refund but there was no apology email or any further communication. We are beyond disappointed because we arranged our entire trip around attending this excursion. I never write negative reviews but beyond the customer service rep exclaiming "oh sh*t oh sh*t, I am sorry" when they realized our reservation was lost, the agency did not care.

DON'T! Tasteless food and overpriced tour - For 75 euros a rushed and tasteless dinner and in a parking lot with a laser light some stargazing... SO DO NOT BOOK! We were supposed to be picked up by shuttle at our airbnb, but after a lot of hassle this could only be done at a hotel half an hour away.. Then you spend almost 2 hours on the bus to pick up other people. Upon arrival at the bodega we were immediately served our food, I have not eaten so dirty in years (on the plane you get even tastier food). The 3 course menu (soup, lasagna/pork, and chocolate mousse) was served in a hurry and after 40 minutes we had to leave for the meadow. It was really laughable. On the meadow we were in a parking lot where we had some explanations about the stars, but to be honest you can also do this yourself with a galaxy app on your phone.

Complete disappointment - To start off we boarded a small coach then drove to the south of the island picking up a few others on the way. We then had to dismount the small coach and wait on a big coach for about 15 mins. We then were clearly late for the dinner as although it was tasty, it was rushed and then quick toilet stop and back on the coach. The sun had already set and we were inside so could not see anything at all!! We never saw over the crater at all ( part of the description of the tour) just sat on a wall in a car park with other car and coach lights to distract you. Information was clear and the guide clearly knew his stuff but after 45 mins of looking at a laser point out some stars and Milky Way ( this bit was actually ok) we re boarded the big coach, got dropped in a lay-by to change to the small coach and then dropped at our hotel which was quite quick not like the 90 mins on the way after picking people up and having to change bus. We left at 6 and 6 hours later we returned to our hotel in that time 1 hr 30 mins was actually out the coach and the rest of the 4.5 hours was in the coach!! Disappointed is an understatement. Avoid wasting €150 we will be making a complaint!!

Disappointing - This tour should be titled winery dinner as it was more about the dinner than stargazing No telescopes, guide was reading from his ipad, we booked a tour in english only it was 20 mins of spanish and a 5 mins english explanation for everything, we learned nothing new we only saw few constellations pointed at with the laser, for the rest it was an extremely long ride, changed buses & of poor interest Save your money & time most importantly as it was a waste of an evening
