Entertaining & Educating! - We discovered this place in 2022 when we were having a lunch at the Soup Company cafe that these 2 business share... so in 2024 when we revisited Iceland and Vik in particular we decided to see what the Lava Show is about - and I must say we had a blast! The more I tell you the info the more I would spoil the surprise for you but just the visual aspects and the fact it gets super hot inside a big ventilated room should be enough to bate people to do it, and they should - it's a once in a lifetime experience for certain, they burn and recycle the basalt lava that spilled onto the beach area here over the last centuries from the nearby volcanos - pretty amazing if you think about it!

Don't miss this experience - This was a show that the hotel recommended so we reserved our seats (highly recommended!) and had a fantastic time! Tom came out and gave a brief presentation and then the lava entered the room. Tom talked about different forms of lava and demonstrated various things that happen with lava and why it forms the way it does. It was truly the highlight of our trip around Iceland!

Not to be missed - Amazing - Amazing experience, really worth it. It is really nice to be able to learn more about the lava and get close to it in a very safe way. Ann-Sophie, our host, was amazing. Her presentation and demonstration were just awesome. She answered the questions the crowd put forward. It was such an amazing experience and I will bring friends who are visiting in the future.

Worth it - Educational, but not so lengthy and educational that your older child or teenager will get bored. It’s unlikely you’ll ever get this close to lava so it is a unique experience. Learned a lot of interesting facts. The presenter was great.

Fun experience - We went to the Lava Show in Vik. It was very bad weather and our outdoor activities were cancelled for the day so we were lucky to have an indoor activity. It was educational and entertaining.

Mesmerising from start to finish - We are a family from the UK with two children age 10 and 12. We were all captivated from start to finish. Highly recommend this activity.

A great experience - We thoroughly enjoyed this show and learned a lot about the history of volcanic activity in the region. Our host was excellent and also had a great sense of humor! And added bonus was the wonderful restaurant that shares the space, we had arrived 1 hour before our showtime and were able to enjoy bowls of delicious soup and pasta before our entry time.
