Great Experience - The show is about an hour or so long, and a fascinating history and geography lesson. It was amazing to see molten lava in a controlled environment and learn so much about it. We don’t have kids in our group but it’s definitely very kid friendly. I was hesitant as it seemed gimmicky when I first stumbled across it on here but I would HIGHLY recommend this.

Lava Show... take the time to see it! - Excellent experience. Adults and curious teens will get a lot from the back stage tour. Learn about melting the Lava, see the process in action, and learn.what it takes to put on a show. Leave your sweater and jackets in the car, and enjoy a T-sirt opportunity-- as the lava flows the room heats up.

Do it! Great experience! - I really didn't know what to expect but we thought this was an AWESOME show. So informative also about lava. I didn't have kids but the kids there were engaged and asked very good questions as well.

Best memory of our 6-year-old daughter - Fascinating and informative. We enjoyed this family show and especially our 6 year old loved to see the lava flowing in front of her eyes. Thanks to Bastien and his clear and precise explanations we also learned a lot about volcanic activity in Iceland. We understand the Mood at Vik's show is more cozy than Reykjavik's. We were delighted with this moment to occupy a rainy afternoon as it can happen in summer in Iceland!

Fun for Everyone! - This was fun and informative, a great way to safely see lava up close. We got a short video history, some explanation from a presenter, and then of course the lava. We also paid for the behind the scenes tour, which was worth the inexpensive price is my opinion.

Unplanned Sidequest - up close encounter with Lava! - We drove from Selfoss to Vik to visit the lava beaches and added this stop on at the last minute and it did not disappoint. Johanna was amazing - fun and educational presentation including close up with molten lava! The kids even got to bring home some pieces of 'witches hair' - strands of cooled lava. We learned so much about the geology of Iceland from this stop, it made our trip to the beach and throughout the island so much more interesting. Definitely recommend making this a lunch stop as well, the soup and sandwiches were delicious.

Hot opportunity to understand the formation of Iceland - Hot opportunity to understand the geology of Iceland and its volcanos. The show was just long enough to remain engaged (maybe not as easy for the youngest kids), and visually interactive for everyone.
