It's a long day but so... - It's a long day but so worth it. Tour is jam packed with multiple stops at must see places in Iceland. Our guide was Gummy and he was so knowledgeable and gave lots of interesting facts. This was a small group tour and We did this tour with our 3 year old.

This is a long day tour... - This is a long day tour but it is absolutely worth it. Gummi is a wonderful tour guide and he knows everything about Iceland. I learned so much from him and his stories- definitely choose this tour if you want to get to know a true local Icelandic guide! I want to mention that Viator messed up the pick up location and allowed me to choose a hostel that was in the pedestrian only area of Reykjavik- this is not the fault of the company but of Viator, and Gummi was very gracious about it. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Day Out - Totally recommend! - Really a great tour! It’s a long trip, but totally worth it including stops at Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and the stunning Fjaðrárgjúfur Canyon. The Glacier Lagoon was definitely a must-see—absolutely mesmerizing.
Our guide, Starri, was fantastic—super funny and extremely knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Great value for such an unforgettable day. We totally recommend this trip!

Amazing scenic tour and wonderful driver/tour guide! - Wow! This tour was amazing and our driver/tour guide, Gummi, was fantastic! We were never rushed and Gummi was kind, polite and courteous at all times despite the 15 hour long trip. We saw so many amazing sites the highlight being the Glacier Lagoon absolutely stunning! Though it was a 15 hour tour it never seemed that long as Gummi told us some amazing facts and incredible stories along the drive but also we had periods of silence to just enjoy the incredible scenery. He even had different charger leads and could charge any phone as required. At the end of the tour Gummi dropped us right to our hotel door, once inside our hotel we realised we had left a mobile phone on the mini bus, Gummi found it and dropped it off at the hotel in the middle of the night, amazing tour but Gummi made it even better. I highly recommend this company and tour.

Fantastic tour! It was a... - Fantastic tour! It was a very long day but our guide/driver did an excellent job providing information as well as stories about the Icelandic people and their customs/traditions. We left not only having seen some incredible sights but more importantly we left with a deeper understanding of the people of Iceland. Kudos to your guide!

Not for people with main character energy like the couple below - My entire travel party has been eagerly awaiting a review from the couple below and it did not disappoint. While some of their complaints are definitely true, this couple were two of the most self-centred people we have seen in our lives. Huge “main character” energy where it’s their world and the rest of us are just living in it.
I can’t verify anything that happened before pickup, but in our experience we were picked up on time, but we were also at the bus stop at the time in advance of the time we were told to arrive, so no confusion there. The driver isn’t what I would call friendly, but we had heard this was a culturally different thing between our country and Iceland, so I didn’t expect much.
The bus wasn’t particularly comfortable. Small seats, not very much leg room, but USB chargers and the small group numbers were probably a much better experience than a large tour. PA system was fine, so we had no problem hearing commentary (when it happened, which I will get to later)
The tour started off great. Lots of interesting information and the tour guide gave just the right amount of information, so it was a good balance between having to listen and getting to enjoy the views.
Things went totally sideways at the canyon stop. We were coming back up the hill from the bottom look off, knew we were going to be cutting it close to the time given, so hustled to get back up the path. We passed that couple heading DOWN the hill seemingly without a care in the world. We got back up to the top right on time and were the last ones to get on board. That hill, BTW, was light gravel/dirt on an incline—they weren’t exactly traipsing up Everest. That couple was nowhere near behind us as we returned up that hill or once we got up to the lot, so the claim they were a minute late has us howling with laughter right now.
Driver starts pulling away, we yell out—twice—that these irresponsible people weren’t on. Presumably, the driver doesn’t hear us because he keeps going. So, we just assumed that couple had made some other arrangements like responsible adults who can tell time or knew they screwed up and were getting a pick-up at the lot at the very bottom of the canyon. Apparently not, because we were already 9 minutes away heading down a dirt road to the next stop when the driver got the call to go back to them and he was clearly pissed. He chastised the passengers on board for not notifying him people were missing and the back half of the bus yells out that we did. He did not apologize to us for trying to lay blame on us (which we were not having anyway because none of this nonsense was our fault or responsibility). Went back to the parking lot and the main characters below apologized for absolutely nothing. Not to the driver and not to the passengers whose time they wasted because they couldn’t be responsible adults. They also didn’t have the good sense to look embarrassed at all about any that had transpired.
The really crappy thing about this was that this incident changed the tone for the next few hours, which impacted everyone else’s experience. The tour guide said very little and it was just quiet and awkward. As the couple mentioned, we did get an extra stop to see the foot of a glacier, which we thanked the driver for doing. This was in a parking turnoff. The main character couple took this opportunity to take selfies and portraits with their backs to traffic ON THE ACTUAL HIGHWAY and multiple cars had to hit their brakes and were honking at them to get out of the road. Oh, and they were the last ones back on the bus again because of their photo shoot. So again, main character energy and a disregard for others.
I don’t know if this is the case every time, but the Vik dinner stop was not nearly enough time to have a proper sit-down meal (45 minutes total, if I recall correctly). Use the bathroom whenever you can and prepare yourself for zero stops during the last 2.5 hours of the trip (after the final waterfall). With the exception of a single stop at one of the gas stations that is just a pump and no facilities, there no stops at all between that waterfall and the city. I would strongly recommend packing your own food and drinks for this tour because the stops were at gas stations. The lagoon did have food trucks and we had a decent amount of time there, so it might be an option to grab a bite to eat.
Drop-off happened around 10:30-10:45-ish and was efficient. The male of the couple got into some sort of weird tiff with the driver about the drop-off location, but the location was around the front of the building instead of the back. I don’t remember exactly what the deal was there because I was snickering at the passenger near me who loudly praised the gods that these people were leaving.
Overall, I am glad we took the tour because there is zero chance we would have been able to drive that in a single day—the driver is incredible for being able to do that trip. Our experience was negatively impacted by that couple’s nonsense and the fallout from all of that. Despite all of this, we saw incredible sites that will stay with us for the rest of our lives, made wonderful memories, and learned some cool things.

The best excursion of my life - This trip was the most beautiful of my life. A sudden feeling of being on another planet. We’ve come a long way, but we can see all of southern Iceland and stop at its most beautiful sites. The Icelandic landscapes are breathtaking.
However, I regret the end of the trip with the driver because he was very tired, he was asleep, and I began to be very afraid. However, he stopped to take a big break and then things got better. I think for such long driving hours there should be two drivers for passenger safety.

The Glacier Lagoon was... - The Glacier Lagoon was awesome. Also stopped at the glacier itself, while it is still there. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all things related to Iceland! However, the day is really, really long as it is. Some unplanned stops increased that. Also, some in our small group signed up for the boat ride at the lagoon. We were scheduled to be there for an hour, so I assumed those people would be on the boat for a portion of that hour. Instead, their scheduled time was delayed, so everyone ended up staying much longer. It was a very cold , windy, rainy day and staying longer made it very uncomfortable! It was a 16 hour day.
During the drive, the driver using a handheld phone, following cars ahead too closely and not decreasing speed for heavy rain made me very nervous. (Same issue with an Uber driver in Reykjavík, so maybe more relaxed safety laws than where I’m from.)
It might be better to do an overnight stay for that distance.

Great spots… Sassy tour guide - All the spots that Gummi took us were breathtaking and beautiful 10/10, 5 stars. The tour felt organized and overall timely.
Although personally the tour guide Gummi did not offer the best experience. He was very sassy and not friendly. As a solo female traveler I did not feel welcomed at all which was disappointing because compared to the other tours I took in iceland it was uneasy in spirit. I was in total 4 minutes late due to , hotel booking problems, 7:34 which I apologized for and he just had the biggest attitude. No hello’s nor goodbye’s. throughout the trip interacting with him was dreadful. and he was also very aggressive with driving which is mentioned in other comments as well.
Overall I respect what tour guides do and understand it is hard work and probably stressful but there’s no need for this type of attitude. If I am paying this much money for a service I expect a level of respect. As a service worker that works with people one to one I believe that there needs to be an effort made to make people feel comfortable and safe.
if you are looking to hit good spots all in one day but don’t care about friendly attitude or positive spirit I would recommend. if not no.

Worst Tour Experience – Unprofessional, Rude, and Stressful. - I rarely leave reviews, but after this experience, I feel compelled to warn others about this tour. Our day started off on the wrong foot, and unfortunately, it only went downhill from there.
The morning of the trip, the driver tried calling us a few minutes before the scheduled pick-up time, but we were walking through the hotel, so we didn’t hear the phone. Then, just 1 minute before the scheduled pick-up time, I noticed him driving away from the window of our hotel (which faced the road). Realizing he was about to leave without us, I immediately called him back. We made him stop and wait for us, or else he would’ve driven off without us.
The driver, who went by Gummi (an older guy with white hair), finally arrived, but his attitude was awful from the start. He looked like he didn’t want to be there, like he was filling in for someone else and resented us for it. Not once did he greet us warmly or make us feel welcome.
Later in the day, we had a stop where we were just 1 minute late getting to the parking lot. The road up was long, rocky, and uneven, so it slowed us down quite a bit. When we got to the top, we couldn’t find the bus. It wasn’t because we were in the wrong spot – it was because Gummi left without us. He didn’t even bother to count the number of people on board, and there were only a handful of us. How hard is it to make sure everyone’s there?
I had his number from the morning’s pick-up, so I called him to find out where the bus was. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Then, after a confusing exchange, he asked some of the other passengers, "Are we missing two people?" (No kidding, we were the ones he left behind). He just said he'd come back and hung up the phone nervously.
Sure enough, 10-15 minutes later, he shows up, slamming on the brakes so hard that dust from the unpaved parking lot went everywhere, covering us. Not exactly the kind of welcome you want when you're on a paid tour.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, we filed a complaint with the company that was providing the service, and they tried to call Gummi multiple times during the trip. He didn’t pick up, of course, because he was probably trying to avoid being caught in his lies. Instead, he made some random stop at an “admirable view” (which honestly seemed like an afterthought to cover for his screw-up). Meanwhile, he was telling the company that we were “extremely late” – but the facts don’t support his claim. We were only 4 minutes late calling him and were actually waiting for him, not the other way around. And to top it off, the company believed Gummi’s version instead of ours.
We provided proof of the phone call and all the facts, but the company never bothered to reply. That kind of customer service is just unacceptable.
In the end, this trip was a massive disappointment. Gummi’s rude, unprofessional attitude made a long, tiring day even worse. If you're considering booking this tour, think twice. You’re gambling with your time and money if you end up with this guide. Honestly, it’s not worth the risk. Iceland has so much beauty to offer, but this experience left a sour taste in our mouths, and we regret booking this tour at all. We just wanted to enjoy the country and its natural wonders, but instead, we got stressed, frustrated, and felt completely disrespected.
Do yourself a favor and book with a company that values professionalism and respects their customers. This one certainly does not.
