Thoroughly recommend - Dace did a great job. She was clearly knowledgeable and able to answer any question. The wireless audio meant that she could chat the whole time, even when we were walking around. I learnt a great deal about the history of Vienna and Austria. Thoroughly recommend!

A nice guided tour of historic city highlights with a friendly and energetic guide - I did a 2.5 hour tour of historic city highlights that l enjoyed very much. Guide Gisele was very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. She showed a lot of places while making sure everyone got their restroom break, coffee etc. We even went to a famous coffee shop that had nice chocolates and kaiserschmarrn (a delicacy made of pan cakes and fruit) that was delicious! The tour had a lot of walking that is to be kept in mind for anyone with physical limitations. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city for the first time with limited time as it gave me a comprehensive overview of the historic sights in the area.

Too ambitious and all over the place - I’m giving this tour a three star average because my husband would have given it four stars and I would have given it two stars. My husband is also a history buff which made it easier for him to follow the tour guide. Regardless of that fact, him and I thought that the tour was too ambitious because the tour guide wanted to show us too many things. Besides that point, since I had a lesser knowledge of the subject I left the tour feeling confused, disappointed and somewhat annoyed because as you know is an expensive tour and I didn’t get the experience that I wanted. The tour has five stars and a 4.9 rating on Trip Advisor and Viator so when I booked the tour I only read a few of the best reviews. But I should have read the reviews of the people who gave the tour fewer stars, which I did after I took the tour and wanted to know how others felt. What happened was that I found many of those reviews touched on the same complaints that I had about the tour. In fact I could have written a review that someone called Neelesh_S wrote on November of 2024. When I read that review I thought “wow”, this person felt exactly the same way I did, and that was over a year ago! Which makes me think that our tour guide Dace (a lovely and knowledgeable lady), already knows that her style is leaving some people out of having a great experience, and besides the good ratings there is still room for improvement that hasn’t happened. So here are some ideas: 1. Pace yourself and end on time or slightly off time by ten minutes the most. Our tour was almost three hours long. In fact two other single attendees gave excuses and left earlier at different points during the tour. 2. If you are losing members of the tour during the tour that tells you something about your delivery. Avoid talking nonstop in a monotone voice. Show more enthusiasm , and sometimes it’s fine to walk from a tour stop to the next destination in silence. Pauses are a good reboot for the brain to get ready to absorb more knowledge. Also, think that your audience is looking at scenery which may be new to them, and perhaps trying to make sense of what they are seeing for the first time. So, focusing on ongoing information at the same time can be overwhelming. 3. Make the storytelling coherent by having a family tree of the Habsburg’s at hand and maybe saying something like “please make a mental note because we are going to come back to this person later”. The tour felt unstructured like another reviewer stated. 4. Remember that people are on vacation and they want to have a good time. An interesting but enjoyable delivery is essential and also other touristy details like choosing one or two good picture spots at some points during the tour. 5. Talk slowly and clearly. It can be very frustrating for the audience if they feel that they are missing information. Sometimes less is more. Ask yourself what is the most important information about each stop in the schedule; what do I want them to remember? I hope that I have contributed positive suggestions to help make this tour more enjoyable for a broader type of audience in the future. As it is right now I can’t recommend the tour.
