Sensational Salzburg for Mozart lovers - Salzburg is a lovely place with lots to see and this trip does well in maximising the time spent there. The guide enhanced it with her charm and informative commentary.

Highlight of our trip to Austria - Our favorite tour in Austria, perfect balance of organized tour and personal exploration. We had the best pizza (randomly) we’ve ever had, and that is true even after visiting Rome! Highly recommend.

Salzburg is worth the visit - Salzburg is such a pretty town to visit and this day tour is well worth it. After our guide showed us some of the landmarks, we were left alone to discover the ten by ourselves. But there wasn’t enough time to see everything but we did manage to see the main things. Having said that, it was still worth doing the tour.

Perfect excursion from Vienna - Really enjoyed this tour as we were looking for something to do in addition to our time in Vienna. Going to Salzburg was well worth the effort. Great tour guide and driver. Old town was fun to explore and we appreciated that the tour guide gave us a one hour walking tour of old town to point out what to pay attention to when we had free time later on. The bus was very comfortable and also had an onboard toilet. We took plenty of stops along the way as well. All in all, a great day out. Thank you!

A beautiful trip to Salzburg - Beautiful landscape Great city. We passsed from beatiful landscapes, impressive view to mountains and a nice lake. We spent a great time to Salzburg. We would prefer to stay more in Salzburg and return later to Vienna.

Nice trip to Salzburg but... - Nice trip to Salzburg but the tour guide continuously spoke in Spanish for lengthly amount of time to cater to only 4 people out of the 30 English speakers in the group, I missed out on learning about the history which for a tour this expensive should have been prioritised to the majority of the group who speak English.

Of the 13 hours of the... - Of the 13 hours of the trip, 10 were on the bus. While technically a day trip from Vienna, I would recommend doing the trip to Salzburg on your own if you're adventurous. Salzburg is pretty compact, with most of the sights in the old partod the town. During this time of year, the town is decked out for the holiday and the Christmas market is fantastic! There were two parts of the tour: the part on the bus and the part with a local guide. Our guide on the bus led the Spanish speaking tourists while we English speaking ones had a local guide (Hans), who was awaiting us at Salzburg. While I understand Hans was probably trying to maximize our free time, I felt the tour was a bit rushed. I also felt like he was okay with losing half the group over the course of the tour. We started out with 19 and ended with 9 in the group. I wasn't sure if the others left and did their own thing or were lost. We started at the Mirabell Palace and ended in old town. At the end, we had about two hours. This was enough time to have a snack and tour the Christmas market. There wasn't enough time to go see the fortress or the Mozart museum. This tour was a good one if you need a way to get out to Salzburg and don't want to deal with the travel logistics. Next time, we will take the train and do our own thing. Not sure if this tour was worth $300 (for two people).
