Overlooking the town of Melk, this impressive baroque-style Abbey houses the renowned library and serves as the final resting place of Saint Coloman, the patron saint of Austria. During your visit, you can also explore the Abbey church and the garden pavilion. After approximately a 1-hour visit to Melk, continue your journey through the Austrian countryside, lakes, and mountains to your next destination, the charming town of Hallstatt.
- Hallstatt - Nestled between the mountains and the lake, Hallstatt is renowned as one of the most photographed villages in Europe. During an approximately 1.5-hour visit to Hallstatt, you can visit the Skywalk 360m platform with breathtaking views, stroll along the Promenade into the colorful town center with numerous small shops. To make your visit to Hallstatt more memorable, enjoy local delicacies and take a walk by Hallstatt Lake.
- Lake Wolfgang - The road from Hallstatt to Salzburg offers spectacular panoramic views of the lakes within the Salzkammergut region. A photo break opportunity will be provided at Lake Wolfgang in the town of Sankt Gilgen. Feel free to ask the driver for any other short stops along this route to capture the picturesque scenery of Austrian lakes.
- Salzburg - The tour continues with a visit to Salzburg. Upon arrival, independently explore the UNESCO-protected Old Town, Mirabell Palace Gardens, used as a filming location for the popular “Sound of Music” movie and the do-re-mi song, or enjoy a spectacular view of the city from the Hohensalzburg fortress. Surrounded by mountains, Salzburg is well known as the birthplace of Mozart, and you can try Mozart chocolate, only available in Salzburg. After concluding the day in Salzburg around 17:30 - 18:00, the tour returns to your accommodation in Vienna, where your day tour began with us.

Amazing Experience!! - Darko was friendly and extremely courteous towards us. He made sure that everyone was comfortable. Trip from Vienna to Czech Republic was amazing. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family when they would visit Vienna.

Day trip in Austria - This was a wonderful day trip to see the Austrian countryside as well as the three main stops. Darko our driver/guide did a great job providing information along the way but let us have space to do our sightseeing as we desired at the three main stops. He added a nice touch to the “Sound of Music” stop. You will not be disappointed taking this day trip with Darko.

Hallstatt and Salzburg all day tour from Vienna - Good all day tour with Romano. Gives you time at each location to tour solo points of interest. A must do to Hallstatt and Salzburg from Vienna. Long drive.

A fantastic trip outside of Vienna - From start to finish it was an incredible day. Michael made the day flow seamlessly as we saw the monastery in Melk, wandered around Old Town in Salzburg and ate apple strudels in Hallstatt surrounded by the alps. Fantastic trip to see outside of Vienna. Highly recommend it.

Ivan was an outstanding... - Ivan was an outstanding driver, making our journey smooth and enjoyable. Melk was a beautiful experience, but Hallstatt was truly the highlight of our trip—absolutely breathtaking. Salzburg, on the other hand, was just okay. Next time, we’ll skip Salzburg and spend more time soaking in the magic of Hallstatt.

BEST TOUR IN HALLSTATT - The best trip ever in Vienna. The Tour guide Darko is amazing. He gave us good recommendations and made the good time.

Great way to see parts of... - Great way to see parts of Austria outside of Vienna. You can customize what you want to do. The drive home is long but still a great day trip
