Mozart’s fascinating space - Loved everything, the informative background of the life and times of Mozart, through to seeing original manuscripts and clips of Met and other performances. Imaginative and fascinating. I feel I know so much more about Mozart the person and his lifestyle to add to the enjoyment of his everlasting music

Mozart’s swankiest flat and a great celebration of music and his life and times. - There are some really odd reviews here, and I wasn’t sure if this was going to be good or not great. I loved it, I thought that the audio guide MAKES this museum. Take your time with it and listen to all of it. Sure, the rooms are empty of furniture but I’d rather that and use my imagination than have a faux Mozart experience, just to be in that place where Figaro was written and to think and spend time with that genius was enough for me. I also liked seeing his front door and the view out of his window as well. The tour IS well structured, giving a good setting of Vienna, the music scene, the political landscape and eras I said earlier if you read the info and listen to the audio tour (which is included) then it really gives back the time invested. I can see that opinions are mixed but for me it was a really fun, and sometimes moving experience. I especially liked their instillation on The Marriage of Figaro, a unique idea that I watched all the way through. Loved it.

Must see, if you visit Vienna! - Must-see if you are visiting Vienna! The exhibition is organised on three floors and the tour relies on the commentary provided by an audio guide. On the first floor there is the apartment where Mozart lived. Very emotional.

Insights into the time and person of Mozart - Extremely interesting. The building alone would be worth a visit. Deep insights into the time and person of Mozart. In fact, the upper floors dedicated to his life’s journey, circumstances and life’s work provide more information than the tour of the apartment he lived in, although it was much more frequented than the premises above. Mozart composed Le Nozze di Figaro here. You should take some time and let what the audio guide tells you and look at the many artifacts. Audio guide available in several languages.

More interesting for the Audi Guide than for what we see - This building is where Mozart lived while in Vienna. It is now a museum and is made up mostly of empty rooms only with some portraits and other wall displays. There is not that much to see, therefore, but the audio guide gave some interesting information about episodes in Mozart's life. It was just about worth the €10 entrance fee.

Meh... - Interesting enough account of life and times of Mozart via audio description, but... In absence of concrete artefacts, all felt a little lacking, somehow. Really need to update some of the visual displays, especially the "projection" of images of singers from "The Magic Flute" - could do better in this digital age, no?

Lackluster experience - We didn't like that the museum felt structureless, without any chronological order. The rooms were unfurnished so it were 'just rooms'. There wasn't much about it but still really expensive.

Disappointing - It was nice to see one of the many residences of Mozart, but there was very little to see. The exhibition was disjointed, no original artefacts at all, photocopied music and replica paintings. The audio guide was ok - but didn’t really share anything interesting about his music and life. I would honestly save your money - I was so disappointed

It would take more than a magic flute to turn this place into somewhere we would return to. - Boring as watching Figaro brush his teeth. Unless of course you enjoy wandering round an empty apartment guessing what might have been there in the 3 years Mozart lived there and surveying a range of photocopied sheet music and photos of unknown Austrians of old. Oh and the staff are grumpy and unhelpful so nothing good to be said about that either.

Boring - I didn't like it. The house is completely empty, on the walls only some manuscripts and some prints of the time. Despite the audio guide, we interrupted the visit in the middle of the second floor. Not Recommendation.
