Wonderful - Wonderful museum and we especially enjoyed the rooms devoted to the individual composers. Be forewarned there is a very rude woman who works at the gift shop—blonde in her 60s. The younger dark haired woman is very nice.

I liked the rooms of the GOAT composers, it felt like a time capsule with their music style playing Very friendly staff in the reception and in the gift shop. Central location

A MUST for any music lover - Probably the best museum experience ever. It is an absolute must for any music lover and covers lots of interesting facts about composers but also hands on experience of musical sounds and sound waves making it a suitable experience for people of all ages. I could have spent the whole day there!

Fun for adults and teens - We visited this museum with our two teenagers, and everyone found something they enjoyed. We learned a little about music, its history, and its composers, and we enjoyed several different interactive exhibits. One son most loved conducting a virtual orchestra (they respond to your baton waving), and the other enjoyed the piano notes on the stairs. We also got to experience playing around to compose our own waltz, and close-up information about multiple famous composers and their works. We spent close to two hours here and enjoyed our time. It is also nice that this museum is open relatively late (until 10 PM the day we visited) so you can see it later in the day, when many other things are already closed.

A charming and impressive view on Sound and Music - Really really great place for the whole family! Not too large but with great variety of interactive presentations of sound and music. The children can create sounds and music through motion, listen to various musical instruments and even conduct an orchstra with Zubin Mehta! When visiting this museum you can really get the imprerssion on how significant music was - and maybe still is - in Vienna. The museum's shop is also charming and you can purchase lots of cool souvenirs and items related to music there. The museum is conveniently located near Karlplatz. You just have to go straight towards Stephansplatz and it's one of the first streets on the right.

Very interactive and worth the money - This museum has something for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and think it was our favourite museum in the whole of Vienna. It is very interactive for children to get involved in and I would definitely recommend going, just to experience conducting an orchestra! Definitely worth the money and a visit.

Waste of time and money - A complete and invalid collection of copies and effects. Totally no matter. Totally ignorant. Waste of time. Waste of money. Absolutely only for kids.
