Great Two- Hour Tour - Our guide was so knowledgeable and informative. We’re so happy we took the guided tour rather than trying to do the tour on our own.

Fun and informative, just the right length of time. - Our guide Antonia was amazing. She was so engaging and knowledgeable. It was fun asking questions and diving deeper into specific things she mentioned that we were interested in. Her wealth of knowledge was truly astonishing. The tour was an excellent pace with just the right amount of time to stop and discuss each location or artifact. The history on this actually informs so much of the landmarks and historical figures around this in edible city. I highly recommend this tour as part of your Vienna visit.

A wonderful time with Anastasia! - We had a wonderful time with Anastasia! We booked a semi-private tour of the palace and museum and were surprised when we arrived with a private guide, only for ourselves! Our guide Ana was wonderful, very informative and made the experience of visiting this palace a real delight.

Liked the Imperial apartments better than the Sisi exhibit - First, book ahead of time on-line. I arrived for my 2 PM visit and they were sold out for the day. There are a LOT of steps up to the exhibit- interesting to picture them full of people waiting to see Franz Josef. The Sisi exhibit was a long, slow procession in crowded small rooms and corridors. Having brought a case of COVID home from a similar situation in London last year, I put on an N95 mask. The Imperial apartments were far more open, furnished as they’d been when Franz Joseph and the Empress lived there. The free audio guide had good details. I’d plan on about an hour to see everything.

Awkward Guide. - Our english tour guide seemed a little disoriented, and very awkward to make conversation. She was knowledgeable in the material they were speaking about, but her interpersonal skills were terrible. I would still visit so you see everything inside, but don’t plan on a fantastic guide.

Very overcrowded tour, and a most unpleasant experience! - Firstly, our tour guide Allesandra was amazing, very informative and knowledgeable, and our rating does not reflect her effort. The tour was seriously overcrowded to the point of being dangerous. Tickets had all been sold out in advance, and we found ourselves backed up behind multiple tours ahead of us. Several times we had to wait in small dark corridors with no light, little air, no seating, and no room to move. Visitors who were not in tour groups were (understandably) frustrated with all the hold ups and were pushing by, which added to the overall sense of claustrophobia. If someone had been taken ill I dread to think how long it would have taken for assistance. Added to that we didn't find the state apartments that impressive - we have certainly seen far more impressive rooms in any number of English Stately homes and French Chateau. We were very relieved to eventually escape from the building and would not wish this horrible experience on anyone.
