Highly recommend - We had an incredible experience traveling with Lily from Vienna to Melk, Hallstatt, and Salzburg. Her knowledge of each location enriched our journey, making every stop memorable. Lily's warm personality and attention to detail made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the trip. She expertly navigated the scenic routes, ensuring we enjoyed breathtaking views along the way. Her recommendations for local cuisine and attractions were spot on, adding unique touches to our adventure. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Lily, for making our vacation unforgettable! Highly recommend her services to anyone!

Thank you Alex Shliak!! - I often book trips through Viator, and while I’m not always fully satisfied with the guides, this was by far my best experience thanks to Alex Shliak. He was outstanding—very informative, engaging, and funny. He shared legends and stories that brought the places to life and organized our group exceptionally well. I would highly recommend him as a guide and want to sincerely thank him for doing such an excellent job!

Best trip in Austria - A very memorable and fun trip in Austria! Though it was a bit rush to spend time at each place, our Tour guide Lily was super friendly and professional, who took care of us genuinely. Appreciated it a lot :))

Fantastic trip - I almost cancelled this trip because of negative reviews. I am so glad that I didn’t. We had wonderful time and we were able to see most of Austria in a day. Our guide Sophia was amazing- she was funny, helpful and full of knowledge. She shared some great stories about the places we visited and made sure we were able to use our free time to the fullest. I love music and really enjoyed listening to Mozart and Strauss while on the bus. There is a surprise by the end of the trip, but I am not going to spoil it. Great trip, beautiful countryside and I definitely recommend this trip to people who want to see as much as possible in a limited time.

It is an extremely long... - It is an extremely long day and very fast paced. Highlight was the small town beside the lake. We had lunch there and it was delightful. Should have known they did not take credit cards before we left. The Melk stop was too short for how far you needed to walk. And in Salzburg the history lesson was too long, free time was nice. It was nice to see the country.

Good - A good overview if you're short on time. This tour is a quick way to see the main sights, especially if you're on a tight schedule. I would’ve liked more time in Hallstatt, but overall it was a decent experience. Dasha did her best to keep everyone engaged throughout. Be aware that you’ll spend more time on the coach than at the actual attractions. Personally, I think it would be better to focus on two places rather than three, but if you're looking to see everything in one go, it works well."

Too long of a tour & a lot of walking - It’s a very long day! A lot of it is just travelling on a bus & they don’t want you to bring food or coffee on board! The Abbey visit was down a lot of stairs … then a very fast walk to 2 rooms in the Abbey. Thankful we found an elevator to go back up! The 2 rooms we visited were amazing though! One lady with me couldn’t keep up the fast pace nor do the steps so she stayed behind. Hallstatt was beautiful. Our guide suggested we grab lunch here so we did & I fast walked again to the end of the street to take in all the views. One lady shopped & the other lady that couldn’t walk fast stayed on a bench to wait for me. It started to rain … then poured very heavy! 😢. Back on the bus to Salzburg. Reminded me of Venice with the narrow streets which went every which way. On the bus, before we get off, guide asks everyone to get a location in Google Maps so we can find our way back to the meeting point (Mozart’s birthplace) .. I’m a Canadian & don’t have data on my phone. He did pair me up with another lady but in the pouring rain .. walking for an hour long tour & worried we won’t find our way back, when tour guide showed us our meeting point we decided to quit the tour & stay there & have a coffee so we wouldn’t get lost! Now my other 2 friends decided they wanted to stay on the bus. Remember, 1 lady can’t walk fast or too far. Tour guide said ok at first .. but said bus goes to park in an out of the way place & tried to discourage them. But they couldn’t do the tour so said they would just stay on the bus. Well, the bus driver said No! So they had to get off & find a coffee shop .. but the tour was an hour & then another hour on your own .. so 2 hours sitting in a coffee shop.. you can’t really do that! So they stayed as long as they could then had to find another coffee shop to sit another hour. Then since they had to leave there & stand out in the rain .. they both bought umbrellas. Very disappointed that they couldn’t just sit on the bus & wait for the two hours for the tour to finish. The guide never told us to have supper here. There was a relaxing stop on the highway on our way back & I assumed we would grab something quick to eat then. Well, that stop turned into a quick 5 minute bathroom break only!!! We didn’t even get off the bus. The Lakes is just a drive by. Landed back to Vienna late at night 9pm / 9:30 ish & now all the restaurants are closed & we still have to find our way back to our hotel. Had to grab something to eat at Burger King in the subway area. In my opinion the tour is way too long. Yes, the Abbey was beautiful, Hallstatt is a nice little town to see in the Alps … Salzburg was a confusing place.
