Meet the local .... - Despite cancellation by Tripadvisor, we thoroughly enjoyed the cooking workshop. George is a became Maltesian local, who has a thousand stories to tell about the world , Gozo, Malta, kids, coffee, networking. And in between he shares his knowledge about food, about history of food and different things that happen in his mothers kitchen vs local shops. It's a very pleasant way to learn about Maltese food and all the other things he is offering for discussion. In the background Amelia runs a iht schedule to have most of the ingredients ready. A nice lunch follows that postpones dinner to very late in the evening. A wonderful day with lovely people

Fun experience learning about and cooking Maltese food. - We had a great experience at Maldonado Bistro with George. The class included the four of us (2 couples) and 7 other people. It was a friendly, fun, energetic group and George is a wonderful host and teacher. The experience included a market village to a sheepmonger's shop, coffee at a cafe in the square, and then a class that included 4 courses, all delicious. Highly recommend this if you want to learn more about Maltese food! Thanks, George! (from Lisa, Peter, Robert and Gilad).

Great course - We took this course to discover Maltese and Gozitan cuisine and were not disappointed. Very nice and cozy setting, above the restaurant, the teacher and his young clerk are super friendly and put us at ease. We appreciated the quality of the information that was given during the course, the recipes are given to each participant (pastizzi, ftira, nougat, pea hummus). The recipes are adaptable to vegetarians and vegans. We had a great time with a great group. Now all we have to do is put it into practice at home. We recommend without any hesitation.

Fun class with snacks and drinks throughout the day and cultural clarity - Fantastic experience. Cooking class is up a couple stairs so beware anyone with an injury that may inhibit such movement. The class left us with a happy memory, full stomachs, and with enough time in the day to explore the rest of the island.
