Interesting Experience - Really interesting to see how they rescued animals and their efforts to protect them. Loved the walk with the hyenas and hand feeding the ostriches. The feeding of the lions was an interesting insight into the capacity of the lions to devour meat. You are safe as you are in a concrete bunker. I certainly enjoyed my time at this excursion.

Family trip - This was an amazing experience! Liki is a great guide and knows his stuff. We got up close to lions, hyenas and sable. We also saw various birds. This was our introduction to a safari on our first day in Victoria Falls. It’s a bit different to other safaris as there are fences and the safari vehicle is caged, for good reasons. The animals are treated well in a habitat not too unlike the wild.

Wow a must do. - Liki was an amazing guide. We enjoyed the lionesses and getting close to the hyenas. The lion feeding was incredible and what a bonus feeding the ostrich. I highly recommend this adventure.

Amazing lion experience - Literally the most amazing experience of our Africa trip - to be able to get that close to the lions and hyenas was incredible and to see the lions feed was awesome. And knowing that it is all part of a conservation programme makes even better. I could not recommend this more highly!

Conservation sanctuary is the best way to describe this wonderful place - The conservation site is truly exceptional, with well-cared-for lions in a picturesque, 25-acre natural setting. The highlight of my visit was the boys who excitedly come to feed the lions. They rush over to where you're standing, at a safe and secure spot approximately 7-10 meters away from the lions. This is an absolute must-do experience. In addition to the lions, we had the opportunity to walk with and get up close to hyenas, interact with rescued birds, and encounter two ostriches. Interestingly, there are three ostriches, but the male is currently incubating some eggs. It's a unique and unforgettable wildlife adventure.

My day at "The Lion Encounter" in Victoria Falls was an incredible adventure. - My recent day trip to Victoria Falls, specifically "The Lion Encounter - Feast of Beasts & Into the Pride Drive," left me with a trove of unforgettable memories, both thrilling and educational. However, it came with a minor hiccup that needs mentioning. First and foremost, I must highlight the fantastic experience of being guided by Licki. His expertise and dedication to ensuring our safety around the hyenas, lions, and ostriches were truly commendable. Licki's knowledge of the animals and the conservation centre added immense value to the tour. He provided fascinating insights into the behaviour and conservation efforts surrounding these remarkable creatures, making the encounter both thrilling and educational. One standout aspect of the visit was the evident commitment to animal welfare at this conservation centre. It was clear that the animals were well looked after, and the sanctuary's dedication to preserving their habitats was admirable. The tour concluded with a plate of food for me that included chicken wings and a drink of my choice. While the meal was a delightful end to the day, there was a somewhat awkward moment when Licki helped himself to one of the chicken wings from my plate without asking me at all. This caught me off guard, especially since his hands were not washed. It was a minor discomfort that slightly marred an otherwise great experience. In spite of this small hiccup, my day at "The Lion Encounter" in Victoria Falls was an incredible adventure. The opportunity to get close to these magnificent animals, the insights gained from Licki, and the commitment to animal conservation made it a day to remember. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to wildlife enthusiasts, with the hope that such minor issues can be addressed for an even better experience in the future.

An encounter well worth taking - We initially booked this tour to as it was advertised that you walk with lions. Unfortunately that does not happen anymore, but the tour nonetheless was well worth it. We saw lions roaming in the park and watched the lions feeding which was the most incredible experience to see up so close through a dug out viewing area. We were able to get out of the vehicle and be up close and personal with the Hyena’s. This was amazing and totally safe. We also fed ostriches which was a fun experience. Pick up and drop off from our lodge and a delicious breakfast were included in our visit. If you have the opportunity to take this tour, do it!

A short and sweet activity - It was a nice activity. Only lasted an hour though. They served breakfast afterwards. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable.

Close up encounters with animals in a sanctuary setting - Advertised as a safari when in fact it’s a trip into a sanctuary. The animals are not wild in the true sense, however we did get up very close to some lions, hyenas and ostriches. Got some great photos and memories. Doing great work there.
