Boma Dinner & Drum Show - There were dancers and drummers and plenty of food. I tried impala and lean. Meat was a bit tough, stir fry vegetables were a bit undercooked. Their was audience participation playing the drums.

Boma Dinner - Even though I stayed in Livingston Zambia, Africa Travel Tours made all the necessary arrangements for me to attend the Boma Dinner in Zimbabwe. A driver took me to the border and assisted with the Zimbabwe immigration formalities and handed me off to another driver in Zimbabwe. He waited for me at the border until the end of the show and drove me back to the hotel. The show itself was lots of fun and the food was excellent.

Tourist trap but fun - No question this is a 100% tourist trap… but it’s a great way to spend the evening. You’re greeted by African dancers and dressed up complete with welcome face paint. The show itself is quite short but once finished, there’s a lot of audience participation with the drums. There’s a wide selection of mainstream food and all you can eat buffet. Great atmosphere and authentically decorated. A few side shows such as fortune telling, etc to while away the night and some vendors selling paintings, etc. Super busy so book in advance.

Nice Dinner and Entertainment Experience - The food was good, nothing spectacular but everything we had was good. The all you can eat buffet style was nice. I am a vegetarian, my partner is not, they did have vegetarian options which was nice but it definitely is more catered toward non-vegetarians which I expected and makes sense since the dinner in part showcases local cuisine which is more meat-based. Also any alcoholic beverages came with an extra charge. There were brief performances throughout the dinner culminating in a drum performance in which everyone was given a small drum near their table and was encouraged to play along with/become part of the show. There was no "singling out" of audience members, everyone used their drums while sitting at their seats so for those who are shy you won't have to worry about that. After the drum show portion when dinner had wrapped up guests were invited/encouraged to get on the floor and dance. Overall we had fun and it was a nice experience on our first night in Victoria Falls so if you are looking to try some different foods and have some light entertainment during dinner it was nice but I would not call it a "must do".

Definitely a Tourist Event! - This was definitely more fun for my kids than us adults. Food was plentiful, but not the most flavorful. Very attentive and kind staff. You will be hit up with performances from the moment you exit your taxi throughout the meal. The drum performance was very fun, and we all enjoyed drumming along. Overall a fun, family-friendly evening.
