SpringTide Whale Watching & Charters - Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure at our ground-level office located at 1119 Wharf Street. After checking in, your Zodiac skipper will guide you to the dock, where you will put on a full-body flotation suit over your clothing. These cruiser suits are designed to keep you warm and dry, but it is still advisable to dress in warm layers, as it tends to be cooler on the water, especially at high speeds! Prepare for an exhilarating and immersive experience close to the ocean’s surface.
Once on the water, your adventure truly begins. With the wind in your hair and the ocean spray beside you, your skipper will expertly navigate the Salish Sea in search of whales and other marine life. You may encounter orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises, and a variety of seabirds.
Throughout the journey, your skipper will provide expert commentary, offering insights into the animals, their behaviors, and the ecosystem they inhabit.

Fantastic! - Our guide was fantastic pointing out animals and what to look for. We found two pods of whales playing, it was an amazing experience!

Whale watch Victoria by Zodiac - Great trip with Ian. Lucked in with perfect conditions. We saw humpback whales and orca. Ian was very informative and found the best positions to watch. Fun trip

Great experience - We had an amazing whale watch experience with Ian. We felt safe and loved seeing the whales, sea lions, otters and porpoise! A great experience and really fun being in the zodiac.

Amazing experience - I was on the tour with guide Ian, we saw a lot of orca's, as well as sea lions! This was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it. The zodiac was a lot of fun as well, and it made the tour feel like a real adventure!

Best day ever! - This was an absolutely amazing trip! Our guide, Ian, was fantastic. Super knowledgeable, fun, friendly, and funny!
We saw a flock of pelicans, a pod of orcas, some porpoises, sea lions, seals, a bald eagle, and I’m probably missing more!
The other amazing thing was, I thought I would for sure be seasick because I have motion, sickness issues, but I had zero issues on this boat. I did wear motion, sickness glasses, and take Dramamine ahead of time, but I honestly don’t think I needed either of those things.
The boat is small enough that you pretty much have a good view no matter where you’re sitting! And when the tour was over, we zoomed back to the harbor, which was also fun in itself!
I can’t say enough good things about this tour!

Fantastic trip on the zodiac - We booked a whale watching tour with Springtide during our visit to Victoria. Unfortunately there weren’t enough people to fill our boat so they graciously rebooked us to the zodiac boat. We had so much fun riding the waves and we saw lots of wildlife including seals, sea lions, a pod of porpoises, seabirds and one humpback whale. We had a fantastic experience, and the staff even offered to have us join a future tour free of charge since we only saw one whale. We weren’t able to do a second tour on the this trip, but we would not hesitate to book with Springtide again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Whale watching in Strait of Juan de Fuca - It was a fantastic experience. Our Captain, Ian, was the best at finding the Killer whales and explaining everything about what we were seeing. We lucked in to a huge sighting of about 20 whales playing, socializing and chasing something. Ian gave up pointers on getting our best shots and took lots of time to explore the area. We loved this excursion and would go again.

Experience impossible to forget. - You have no idea how grateful my wife and I are. It was a great adventure. The experience with the captain was perfect, the effort of the crew the tour, the prices were too generous for all the fantasy experience we had.
We went in November when it is the supposed low season and it was the best thing that happened to us.
The end of November is still a great date to go and see everything we could see: Orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, eagles, jellyfish, an incredible crab and much more.
Thanks to the captain and the rest of the team who really helped fulfill my wife's dream and a trip from so far away was worth it.
Photos will never do justice, believe me.

An Unforgettable Whale-Watching Adventure! - This was an incredible experience! Our captain was fantastic—so knowledgeable and full of amazing facts about the different types of whales. We were incredibly lucky to see three different species during our trip. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
