Excellent walk into French history - My family took an afternoon tour with our friendly guide Gustavo, who is an art historian, with a deep knowledge of French and European history. We were picked up at our hotel on time and we headed out to Versailles. We first visited the expansive gardens and then covered several halls and their significance. We much enjoyed and learned a lot from the insightful commentary and would highly recommence this tour and guide to anyone !

I had been to ... - I had been to Versailles before, but this tour was fabulous. Hotel pick-up and drop-off with a guide that knew the history of Versailles and so much more. I highly recommend this tour!!

Excellent Private Tour of Versailles. - This trip was tailored to our wishes and our pace. The guide was an art historian, extremely knowledgeable and delightful. He could answer any and many questions, even if not necessarily related to the nuance of the topic. He gave us all the information we needed, and included a very interesting briefing and discussion both to and from the palace. I would book again.

Great tour - We enjoyed our Versailles tour. It was cold so dress warmly because about half of tour is outdoors. The guide was very knowledgeable and skipping the long lines was great

The Gardens! - I would say the gardens are the best part of the Palace of Versailles. Jose, who was Amazing, took us all through the gardens, explaining everything, …. The fountains and sculptures are just beautiful! We just absolutely loved it! Thanks Jose!!!

Book a Tour unless you plan to spend a whole day there figuring it out yourself - It was great to have hotel pickup and dropoff for this, as travelling by Uber/Taxi with a family in Paris can be challenging. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and really knew how to get us through this amazing Palace in a few hours. The highlight was the time we spent in the gardens, which we would never have been able to navigate without a guide. He also could see that we were OVER the big crowds in the most visited rooms and took us to some lesser known parts of the Palace that were less crowded, and we were really able to enjoy the setting.

Just Ok - We paid for a half day in Versailles but did not get into until 3:15 when Versailles closes at 5:30. We never made it into the gardens although the description of the trip claimed it was included. Very disappointed as this was my 2nd trip to Versailles. Very much a waste of time and money.

Tour description misleading - When the tour says "half day" it includes travel time to and from the site. It is not the time at the site. Our half day tour had only 1 hour and 50 at Versailles. Our guide arrived at our hotel late which meant we arrive late at Versailles and didn't enter into 3:10. At 5:00 he said we had to leave even though Versailles stays open until 5:30. The tour guide himself was very good. We just didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted to see. We didn't even get to the gardens.
