• Paris - The tour kicks off in the heart of Paris, where the guide and a small group of travelers will meet. Together, they will board a train for a brief journey into the countryside, eliminating the need to navigate to Versailles independently.
• Palace of Versailles - Upon arrival at Versailles, participants will bypass the line and enter the Palace directly. With an expert guide, they will explore the stunning gilded palace chapel and the private apartments of the King and Queen. As they walk, the guide will enliven the palace with tales of courtly intrigue and royal schemes, while also providing insights into the daily lives of its former inhabitants.
• Hall of Mirrors - During the guided tour, visitors will naturally encounter the Palace’s most renowned room: the spectacular Hall of Mirrors. This iconic space celebrates France’s political, economic, and artistic achievements through its exquisite paintings.
• Palace of Versailles - Opt for the VIP King’s Apartments Option to gain exclusive access to the King’s Private Apartments at the Palace of Versailles—an area typically closed to the public. These private chambers were the residence of the French Royal Family, offering a retreat from public life. Accompanied by an expert guide and a small Walks tour group, participants will explore opulent rooms such as the King’s Bedroom and Library.
• Gardens of Versailles - Led by the guide, participants will receive an introduction to the lavish Palace Gardens and then have the opportunity to explore them independently. Depending on the day, they may witness either the Fountains Show, where the fountains dance to music, or the musical Gardens Show. The guide will bid farewell here. With a roundtrip train ticket to Paris included, participants can return to the City of Lights at their leisure.
• The Trianons & The Hamlet - Free time allows for exploration of the more secluded areas of Versailles, where the royals sought privacy and relaxation. Marie Antoinette was particularly fond of this area, especially the Petit Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet.
