Following the tour, take some free time to stroll through the gardens (an extra entrance ticket is needed on musical or fountain show days).
- The time on your voucher is the meeting time at our shop (the tour departs a few minutes later). In case of late arrival for check-in, we cannot guarantee access to the palace. Fees will apply if you wish to reschedule for a later tour.
- On peak days, the scheduled access time may be delayed due to security checks implemented by the Palace of Versailles.
- The palace gardens are free from November to March, with no garden tickets needed.
- Baby strollers may be refused at the entrance of the palace.
- Bring standard jack headphones (optional, not required)
- Trains are not running between “Paris Austerlitz” and “Versailles Château Rive Gauche” from July 15 to August 23. You have two public transport options: 1- Take a train to Versailles Rive Droite (Line L from Saint-Lazare or La Défense), then walk 18 minutes to the meeting point. 2-Take a train to Versailles Chantiers (Line N from Montparnasse), then walk 15 minutes to the meeting point.

Really Enjoyed the Tour! - Our guide was really knowledgeable on the history of Versailles. There is a lot to look at, the Palace is a large place.

Good experience - Lots of people, stay with your guide. Note the mtg spot is 1-2 blocks before the palace. Our guide was very good and she did another hour with us in the gardens.

Great! - Great trip, easy to book and our tour guide, Livia, was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. The office/starting point was easy to find and there is a 10 min walk up to the Palace. Bear in mind that the time booked isn’t the time the tour will start - they give a 10 min period of grace. If you are at the office early there is a lovely sandwich shop next door!

Versailles 2025 - Well worth booking in advance for this tour. Our leader gave just the right amount of information and dealt with a few initial problems with headsets as efficiently as she could.

We had Marion as our tour... - We had Marion as our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable . She was easy to understand and kept it interesting .
The only downside was that it was really really crowded and at times made you feel uncomfortable.

plan ahead - So i booked this tour because no other tickets were available. We happened to go on easter sunday. we arrived in town early as we were staying in paris. Glad we did. tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable however the holiday crowds were unbearable. We had ear pieces so we could hear our guide Florean. The palace main rooms were so overcrowded many rude people and made it less enjoyable. I recommend planning ahead and buying your tickets early. The train station is a short walk from the palace so explore a bit take it all in. Our guide had loads of info which was good because we couldnt always move around to tryand read the information posted in each room.

Truly beautiful (but better headsets needed) - The palace is stunningly beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth visiting!
However, the microphone technology was not great so we spent the first half hour of the tour watching our guide deal with people having inoperable headphone sets. My headset kept cutting out during the tour and required I reset it.
