Close up view of glass art - Very enjoyable close up view of exquisite art being made combined with a fun jewelry making experience. The factory is also a gallery with amazing pieces for sale.

Great history of generational families making Murano glass - From our guide that took us to the glass factory to the guide explaining the making of the Murano glass was wonderful! Love hearing the history of family generations of making glass and watching how they make it. We watched the making of flower pieces that will be going onto a chandelier… Beautiful!

I made a mistake and did... - I made a mistake and did the review for Flavia who was the guide for this trip on the other survey sent to me. Eleana was the guide for the St. Marks plaza and Doge Palace. She was spectacular! Humorus and so engaging with the adults and the kids in the group. I particularly liked how she wove in so much trivia. Who knew the term ballot came from Venice or that oil painting on canvas started in Venice and so much more. I learned was so interested and lerned so much almost didn't notice the hot weather...I said alomost =).

Glass Treats - We had an excellent visit to the factory and enjoyed our 'workshop'. My granddaughter made a bracelet to show off and I managed a very unartistic wall hanging.

Worth the trip - We had a private boat out to the island of Murano, a gentleman picked us up right at the dock and brought us right to the factory, which was maybe a half a block away. It was right on the main street. It was so fun to see the artist, making his creations. The only part we didn’t like was that they took us through their showroom afterwards and really wanted us to buy some thing but we were firm and saying not today and they were OK with that. We would recommend this tour.

Good- too long? - Pick up and drop off were easy and efficient. The demonstration was good and making jewelry was a fun family experience. After this was finished, you had at least an hour to shop in the showroom. I felt that was too much and the hostess was always watching. The island of Murano is beautiful. I would recommend talking a walk if you are not doing serious shopping.

Very fascinating to watch... - Very fascinating to watch the demonstration. Nice to learn about Master glass blowers. The workshop was pretty basic. No glass or bean making. Disappointing

Excellent Tour, But... - The actual tour of the glass blowing was amazing. To see someone so excellent at his craft that it looked easy was incredible. He was spinning and blowing and clipping and shaping with such nonchalance, but you know your hair would be on fire within 30 seconds of trying to do what he was doing. And the salesman in the gallery was excellent in the low pressure approach. I really enjoyed his knowledge and ability to make me feel like he was giving the best deal in the world, knowing it was the 10th time he did that day. Would have given 5 stars but for the bigoted comments from the Viator guide that I had to ignore in order to remain calm on my vacation.

It was a great ride to... - It was a great ride to Murano island. The glass work demonstration was great and short. We did to make some bracelets from Murano glass beads to take home. Wish we could just skip the show room part.

I would not recommend this tour - The sales person was too high pressured, made me not want to buy anything and others in the group felt the same way. After a demonstration of the glass blowing we were taken to a room to do a simple arts and crafts project, felt like I was in first grade. When it was over fortunately there were only four in our group, we had to agree what to do next because the boat only did one return back to Venice so if one wanted to stay and another wanted to leave those staying had to find there way back to Venice. Would have preferred to see the factory
