Our boat ride and tour... - Our boat ride and tour guide were great. We had a stormy day...but we weathered it just fine. Glass blowing was not what we thought. Good to learn about it Burano was very interesting, as well.

Great leisurely trip - Raquel was a wonderful tour guide. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. The islands were both beautiful, and we were able to go at our own pace ( I’m traveling with my mobility impaired mother). Highly recommend

Very relaxing & fun excursion - It was a very relaxing excursion. I especially enjoyed Burano. What a quaint island. We had a great lunch & did some shopping. Our guide Raquella (my spelling?) was superb she was informative & amusing. Our boat captain was masterful!. Watching the master glass blower at Murano was amazing.

A nice day out - Murano was interesting watching how the glass objects are made. That was the highlight! The showroom felt rushed and expensive relative to Venice shops. I expected the opposite. No ability to look around the rest of the town as we were on a side with all other shops closed (due to summer holidays). Burano was a beautiful little town. The lace shop was nice but there were many other shops that had things I’d like to have explored and we didn’t have much time to grab a snack before we left. I think I’d do Burano on its own. All in all a nice day away from Venice exploring the other islands.

Murano Burano - Murano glassworks is worth seeing but is not affordable. Burano is worth a visit and there is a leaning (Pisa) tower. Time required for visits by transport is about 5 hours.

The actual glass blowing... - The actual glass blowing demo is interesting, but very short so you can be herded into the showroom and hounded by sales reps. If you do the tour and aren't interested in buying, head out and wander the town til it's time to leave. Burano was pretty; very touristy, no discussion about how most of what you see is machine made lace. The boat ride itself was nice, but be prepared to be tired and sore on the way back. Long ride on very hard wood seats.
