Only 20 min - It took a lot longer to actually get on the gondola than expected and then we were only taken out for 20 min. Would’ve been great if we could’ve gone longer

Good deal for the price - Your guide didn’t say a word to us other than where to sit and to not move too much. There were 4 of us on the gondola and for some reason, he put the heavier 2 people on one side of the gondola and the thinner of the group on the other side. The canals are extremely crowded. I didn’t feel like it was the full 30 minutes but for the price it was worth it to at least say you did a gondola ride in Venice.

Average - This gondola ride was fine, average at best. We booked it in order to check off that we took a gondola ride in Venice, but it wasn't anything exceptional. If you're looking for a simple, no fuss gondola experience, then this is it.

Nice gondola, rushed experience - It was good that we got to go in authentic gondola but the whole process was quite rushed and were not spoken to once by the gondola person so felt bit lacking. But suppose it gave chance to soak up sights in peace just wish we knew what we were looking at.

Not worth it - Overpriced for short experience. Seems like the workers are overworked and disinterested. Did not enjoy it. Not worth it.

Finding the Gondola Ride Spot Direction Not Good - I was in Italy July 2024 and this was my experience: First of all, it seems that when trying to find where you are suppose to be is an issue when asking other gondola personnel. We walked so out of the way and had to run back over to the other side to get in a line to get on our schedule ride. Then the operator was trying to add an additional person on our gondola which wasn't correct. The definition of where we should have rode to was not accurate and it DEFINITELY was not 30 minute ride. We rode down the side of buildings and NEVER rode where it states in the what to expect: Canal Grande Ride along the famous Grand Canal 10 minutes • Admission Ticket Free Ponte di Rialto (Pass By) You will see the famous Rialto Bridge Campo Manin (Pass By) You will pass by Campo Manin Hard Rock Cafe (Pass By) The tour ends in front of the Hard Rock Cafè Gondola Danieli (Pass By) Bacino Orseolo, the famous Gondola station right behind St.Mark's Square, is where your Gondola Ride will end. NEVER saw the Rialto Bridge or the Hard Rock Cafe on my ride.

Short changed - Nice ride but was only 20 minutes when we paid for 30 minutes. Also started 25 minutes late and the driver was very rude.

Don’t go it! Find a small company upon arrival. - This tour was the worst part of our trip to Italy so far. We were only given a 20 minute ride, where our tour guide did not say one word. He took us through random side alleys where we did not see anything special about Venice. Our group of 6 was split up and my husband and 2 kids had to go with a couple. I feel bad for the couple who probably thought they’d go alone. You are better off finding a small vendor offering a gondola ride upon arrival rather than using this large company that does not care about your experience.

Terrible gondola experience - This excursion was terrible. Unnecessarily difficult to find place to get tickets.!could’ve just named the water taxi stop that we had to go to get the actual tickets. The actual Gindola experience was terrible. The guy would not stop talking to the other gondoliers and did nothing in the way of what the traditional gondolier does. No singing, no explaining where we were and literally went around one building and back. Do not take this excursion

Gondola Ride Only truly 14 minutes long - This is a gigantic ripoff. The Gondola ride was only truly about 14 minutes long and then we waited 10 minutes for the gondola to park back at the dock to unload us. The Gondola driver was unfriendly and was on his cell phone and bantering with the other gondola drivers the whole time. Then he argued with us when we asked why the trip was only 14 minutes long before calling my wife names in italian as we moved off the gondola. The whole experience was terrible and better off hiring a Gondola anywhere as there are many offering rides. Absolutely terrible - Viator should find another gondola provider for their customers.
