Great experience with hard sell at the end - The tour guide was friendly and helpful—as were the boat drivers. The staff at the glass factory were also great. The only thing that I would want someone to know is that there is a fairly hard sell at the factory to get you to purchase their products. Everything was of the highest quality—I just was not expecting the big sales push at this type of event (“tour”).

Wonderful Afternoon in Murano - Great tour and wonderful host! Luka was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! There were six of us in the group from two seniors to a teen and a ten year old and all enjoyed the tour. We toured the Schiavon Art Gallery and Factory and got to meet the master himself, Massimiliano which was a treat.

Impressive experience to see master glass artists at work. - Saw making of several glass vases and objects in the factory. Great experience to see the craftsmanship and artistic skills of glass artists. Visited showroom with beautiful finished products costing up to thousands of dollars euros, but no pressure to buy.

A great personalized way to learn about Venice and Murano - Natasha was our guide and she met us by the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II in San Marco. She was very friendly and informative, teaching us about Venice as we took a Water Taxi to Murano. Once at the glass factory we met with one of the liaisons who introduced us to the master glass maker and we witnessed him working on a piece for a beautiful chandelier. Another artisan created a horse from a glob of molten glass. It was an amazing transformation as it went from a glowing orange mass and within two minutes it was a beautiful horse. Afterwards we were taken around the showroom to see all the amazing glass creations. At the end of the tour we were able to shop the gift shop. On the way back to Venice, Natasha told us about other parts of Venice and gave us restaurants and sites to check out. Overall a great personal tour and a nice way to see one of the Murano glass factories.

i’ve never seen something like this before - this experience was really special! My whole family enjoyed this very much. The glass master even blew a glass vase right in front of us, and another one made a glass horse on the spot in less than a minute, i’ve never seen something like this before! it was exceptional. Everything was handmade exactly as it used to decades ago. Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable, and we visited the glass factory in a really comfortable private boat. I highly recommend this tour.

Our exceptional Authentic Murano with Merlo guide!!! - In early February we took a trip to Venice with my sister Susan to finally see a city we hadn't visited for a long time and it was an opportunity to dust off some memories of our childhood. Our local guide, Mr. Merlo, was immediately extremely kind, attentive, very friendly and very informative. Authentic Murano which was warmly recommended to us by friends was exactly the experience we needed, because we had read various information on Murano but each book gives different and not always detailed descriptions, so we were very curious. It was a tour that gave us so many emotions. A splendid, elegant boat came to pick us up at the hotel and with our guide Merlo we set off towards Murano. The route from the hotel to the island was short but enriched with very interesting historical information which allowed us to receive a nice historical introduction. Upon arrival at the Vetreria New Murano Gallery we were welcomed by Mr. Francesco the director, an extraordinary person to say the least, extremely warm. Our visit was particularly exciting because we were able to see and touch with our hands aspects regarding the history of glass, learn about and observe the different materials and tools of the trade but above all we were made participants in the creation of a work of art crafted moment, using a thousand-year-old technique; we were really happy because the master blower was very kind to us and very approachable. Visiting the New Murano Gallery glass factory allowed us to learn extremely curious historical aspects of a tradition that still continues today and for which years and years of experience with glass are required. In the end we even made some purchases like a chandelier and what a chandelier! We got it as a special gift for a dear friend of ours Sallivan who lives in Chicago and who is getting married soon. We believe that he will not believe his eyes ehe... upon seeing this splendor. This gift of ours will give a touch of class to his living room. Visiting the New Murano Gallery glass factory and getting to know the island of Murano accompanied by guide Merlo, a native of Venice, gave me and my sister immense pleasure, an intense and exciting experience that I warmly recommend to everyone!!!!

Murano glass show - This tour is amazing, the guide picked us up directly at our hotel. The boat was already waiting for us and took us to one of the glassfactory. There we had the chance to admire the equipe of masters blowing the glass. It was stunning! We had the chance then to see the beautiful showroom with all the glass masterpieces. It was an incredible experience.

A wonderful experience for the whole family - After a short and very pleasant boat ride during which our guide, Matteo, explained the history of the ancient Venetian glass art, we were welcomed into one of the oldest glass factories in Murano. Here the staff helped us further understand the techniques and materials that make this centuries-old tradition possible. We witnessed the creation of magnificent objects, to then be accompanied into the exhibition rooms, a true glass museum. The children had a lot of fun. Excellent guide, excellent glassworks staff, excellent whole tour! Highly recommended.

Sales pitch along with all the rest - "Guide" met us at the gathering place and sent us off unescorted to the factory on a water taxi. Were met there and did receive "watching Master make a pitcher" and "info about glassmaking" and "tour of their showroom" but when we weren't going to buy any of the expensive merchandise the "tour was over" and we were sent back alone to Venice on a water taxi. Felt more like sales pitch than historical/informational tour.
