- Sunshines Restaurant - The experience starts with a guided Yoga session on the beach. You will practice gentle stretches, breathing exercises, meditation, and relaxation techniques that will help make taking your first breaths underwater more relaxing and easeful. After Yoga, you will learn scuba fundamentals and safety guidelines, followed by some skill practice in shallow water and a guided mini shore dive (max depth 15 ft). This introductory Scuba Diving lesson is enhanced by using Yoga techniques that encourage relaxation, focus, breath control, buoyancy, and an overall sense of ease and enjoyment. No Yoga or Scuba experience is necessary.
Certified Divers can upgrade to the PADI Yoga Diver Specialty certification course (1-2 days) which involves knowledge development (via E-Learning), land-based Yoga practice, and 2 open water training dives.
These activities are conducted by Amanda of SoulScuba, a certified Yoga & Meditation Instructor and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with over 15 years of experience. Amanda specializes in teaching divers how to use Yoga techniques to improve their comfort and skills in the water and is the author of the PADI Yoga Diver course.
