- Camaggiore - We meet at the pier at the Hotel Olivedo in Varenna. We board the car that will take us up to the mountains. Travel time will be around 40 minutes. On the way you’ll be able to admire dramatic landscapes, half-abandoned churches, orchards and, of course, the lake.\nWhen we reach the parking place we leave the car and the guide will take us on a nice walk through the forest with panoramas of the water surface. The walk will take 20-30 minutes depending on the walking speed.\nRising to the very foothills of the Alps, the views will finally open in all their glory. We now get to the picnic area, where you find everything ready for you, a light music in the background, an elegant atmosphere and a magnificent view. We will show you the products we have selected from local farmers and tell you where they come from and the stories behind these places, then leave you to enjoy the atmosphere! We guarantee you will take great photos!\n\nThe total activity time will be 3 - 3.5 hours.\n\nEstimated end of the program:\n15.00

Heavenly picnic in a idilic tranquil location - We had a wonderful day out with Maria at the foothills of the alps with an enjoyable walk and a heavenly picnic in a idilic tranquil location. I would definitely recommend this experience.

MUST TRY!! - What an AMAZING day! We had the pleasure of being taken to the top of Varenna by Maria & Svetlana. Both the girls welcomed us with open arms and bright smiles. During our trip up the mountain, they were able to tell us so much history about the lake and the towns that we were passing. The picnic that was set up for us was spectacular. The views were breathtaking, and the food and wine were delicious! Such an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone! We can't wait to go back and see them again!

Amazing Experience - This was by far the very best experience we have had on our 3 week Europe vacation. The two ladies that led the picnic were amazing and so nice. They knew so much history about the area. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this hiking/picnic tour.

Amazing day exploring the countryside - The weather wasn’t kind to us but Maria was amazing and developed an amazing amended plan. We had a great day exploring and learning about the area.

Skip the crowds and experience a different side to lake como - I highly recommend this unique experience led by the fantastic Maria. I really enjoyed seeing a different side to lake como and hearing about the local culture, including all sorts you can’t read online! The picnic was delicious and we even stopped off at the local ‘refuge hut’ for some limoncello tasting by Stefano. Maria went above and beyond to give us a fantastic, crowd free afternoon. Dont miss out!

Must Do in Lake Como - The whole experience was absolutely incredible. Maria is a sweetheart and we loved talking with her. The short trek through the mountains was beautiful and the picnic set up she made was even more so. Very thoughtful and accommodating for dietary preferences/allergies. We never felt rushed. It was such a relaxing experience away from the busy city that I would recommend to anyone. Maybe bring a small jacket if you get chilly, but honestly in the sun it was quite warm. Grazie mille <3

Amazing mountain scenery - A rather disorganised meeting experience with the guide who forgot her picnickle sign but more than compensated by a magnificent drive through lush countryside with some spectacular views.
A wonderful lunch with good wine in a quiet secluded area with more of those wonderful views.
A day to remember.

Perfect Day!!! - This was such a lovely experience!
The meet up was easy and the ride up was scenic and pleasant. Maria shared interesting local history on the way up. After a nice walk we were treated to a delicious picnic with a stunning view. The food and wine were plentiful and of good quality, much of it local. Maria’s knowledge of the area and friendly nature really added to the experience.
I highly recommend this very cool adventure!
