Bodh Gaya is located 15 km (9.3 mi) from Gaya and about 96 km (60 mi) from Patna. The site features a descendant of the Bodhi Tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment and has been a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists for over two millennia.
