• Godowlia - Godowlia is the busiest and most crowded intersection, as it provides easy access to the banks of the River Ganga. We pause here briefly to observe the arrival of pilgrims and their activities before proceeding to the River Ganga.
• Ganges River - The River Ganga is a major river in the plains of the northern Indian subcontinent. Known as the Ganga in Hindi and other Indian languages, it is internationally referred to as the Ganges. It has been a sacred river in Hinduism since ancient times. For most of its course, it is a wide and slow-moving stream, flowing through one of the world’s most fertile and densely populated regions. Despite its significance, its length of 1,560 miles (2,510 km) is relatively short compared to other major rivers in Asia and the world.
• Darbhanga Ghat - Passing by Shitala Ghat (home to the temple of Goddess Shitala, who protects against smallpox and chickenpox), Ahilyabai Ghat, and Munshi Ghat—named in honor of Sridhar Narayan Munshi, a financial minister of the Nagpur State who resigned in 1812, settled in Varanasi, and died here in 1824. • Banaras Ghats - At Munshi Ghat, we board a boat to go upstream. A sunrise boat trip is essential and a beautiful life experience. The main attraction of Varanasi is the long string of bathing Ghats lining the west bank of the River Ganges. Ghats are steps leading down to the river, where pilgrims cleanse their sins by dipping in the holy River Ganga.
• Harishchandra Ghat - Harish Chandra Ghat is another cremation ground in the southern part of Varanasi. Named after the mythological King Harish Chandra, who worked at the cremation ground to uphold truth and charity. It is believed that the Gods rewarded him for his resolve, charity, and truthfulness by restoring his lost throne and his dead son. From here, our boat will return downstream towards the northern part of Varanasi.
• Man Mandir Ghat - Man Mandir Ghat features a palace built by the King of Amber (Rajasthan), Savai Man Singh, between 1585 and 1605.
• Meer Ghat - Named in 1735 after the Muslim commander Mir Rustam Ali, Meer Ghat provides access to the Vishalakshi temple and Dharma Kupa.
• Nepali Temple (Kathwala Temple) - Nepali Ghat, near the bank, has a charming shrine dedicated to the goddess Ganga. A staircase from the bank leads to the Nepalese temple, a replica of the Pashupati Nath Temple.
• Manikarnika Ghat - After passing Bauli, Jalashayi Ghat, and Khiraki Ghat, we reach Manikarnika Ghat, famous for its cremation ground (photography of the cremation area is prohibited). Here, one can observe the cremation and related rituals. Later, our boat will return to the center, ending our boat trip at Dasashwamedh Ghat.
• Dasaswamedh Ghat - Dashashwamedh Ghat is believed to be the first historically recorded site associated with the horse sacrifice performed by the Shiva Nagas king around the 3rd century.

Here, we disembark from the boat and have some free time for personal exploration. Walking around, you can get a sense of the religious activities. Later, we conclude our tour at the starting point.
