„downtown tour“ Varanasi - Tour was well balanced between historical sights, local silk and goods manufacturing and temples. Our tour guide speaks English very well and we were able to understand everything.

Splendid walking tour - The tour provided us with insight that we would never have experienced on our own. Prakash has a profound knowledge of history in general and specifically of Hinduism. No question remained unanswered. We sometimes had an information overflow 😅 All our expectations of a tour thru Varanasi were met! Seeing the weavers producing silk fabric, the dyers giving the right colours and the finishers giving the fabric the specific satin shine was one of the highlights. We would not have found those places.

Its like a friend taking you around in his hometown - Prakash is a great host. His family has been living in Benaras from five generations and you get a sense of it when he takes you around the city. Kashi’s history is rich but unfortunately not everything is documented. Only way to truly understand the spirit is to experience it with a local. With Prakash we felt as if a friend is hosting us in his hometown. Even after the walking tour was over, he was available to help n went beyond to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay.

A previous full immersion. - I came to Varanasi to dip myself into its culture, and the culture of its religions, Buddhism, Jainism and of course Hinduism. I visited some of the places alone but there are things that a solo traveller simply cannot see and cannot know. These gaps were filled in this invaluable tour. Prakash is knowledgeable and with him I felt guided in a deeper sense. He gave me precious information and also advice about my trip. The places he brought me too were all outstanding, some I would have gone to anyway (like the cremation ground) but some that I simply could not know about as a foreigner. In any case, even visiting some of those places without him would not have been the same. I highly recommend this tour and, of course, this fascinating holy city. If I come back I will do it again.

Amazing guide! - This was the best experience I’ve had yet while traveling in India! Prakash is such a genuine person, this felt more like hanging out with a good buddy rather than being on a tour. His knowledge of the city and his culture is extensive! Ignore all the other tours in Varanasi, this is the only one you’ll need for a few hours of exploring!

10/10 would recommend if you want a locals knowledge. Felt like we were spending the day with a friend. - We stumbled upon this tour and ultimately selected it due to the price. We were surprised with the quality we were provided. Prakash had so much knowledge, passion, and excitement for Varanasi, the culture, history and all of the places he took us. He recommended some cafes, places to eat, and additional sites to visit including Blue Lassi to try traditional Lassi. Prakash was one of the most personable tour guides we experienced in India and it felt like we were hanging with a friend the entire time. He planned to meet up with us later in the evening after the tour to offer us some chai and attend a Hindu ceremony that takes place on the Ganges River. He went above and beyond and offered so much more than we expected!

Good tour - Prakash is very knowledgeable and offered a good tour. First day was very good with Prakash arranging special seating for us and we were able to perform the evening religious activities. Next day we had a good days tour and completed everything we wanted. Prakash is busy but perhaps takes on too much, needs to ensure it is a truly personal experience, I believe he has other tours running through the day via other guides that assist him. I will use Prakash again in the future
