Great day trip from San Jose area - We already had a rental car, so it made it easy to get there. We went early on a weekday, so traffic was heavy the first half of drive, the park was virtually empty when we arrived, however. The tour is self-guided and self-paced, but there are docents/guides in each area to direct you snd answer questions about the animals. The park has a little bit of everything, and they have done a wonderful job with the walking pathways.

Adventurous, fun to do with family and memorable. - We walked around, saw and pet animals. Frogs, Goats, Bulls, Snakes and other unique animals. Definitely pack a jacket, since its the rainforest its most likely to rain on you. But still worth going, the weather was warm and also there are indoor exhibits.

Great! - We were pleasantly surprised my mother and I by the diverse animal species and their well-maintained habitat. It was very impressive to see all these animals at once. The walk to the falls was very pleasant mainly thanks to the safe and nature-friendly facilities. The falls were super nice. In conclusion, even if it’s rather expensive, it’s a great experience to have especially when you arrive in Costa Rica.

No need to skip the line - The hike was spectacular, however there is no benefit to buying the skip the line. There are no lines so you can buy direct and save a few $.

An experience not to return - I was accompanied by a foreigner and it seemed very bad that they charged double for admission. It was raining and they don't rent umbrellas, I requested a wheelchair and they don't offer the service. The place does not respect the law 7500 access is very bad for people with mobility problems

Not recommended - The place is focused only on foreigners. It is extremely expensive for nationals and much more expensive for foreigners. The treatment was preferential for English-speaking foreigners. For Latinos and nationals they were derogatory. Guides ignore you and leave you behind. Only the staff at the restaurant and the traditional house were friendly and willing to help. The animals look sad. Generally, with the price of admission, it is better to look for an alternative that offers a better experience. If you are Costa Rican or Latino, look for a better option. If you are American, they will treat you in the best way.

Cruelty to animals. Not recommended. - Good first. The waterfalls are absolutely worth seeing and the paths to them are beautiful. Unfortunately, that was it. The animal husbandry is terrible, if we had informed ourselves better before, we would not have gone to this park, because there are waterfalls in Costa Rica God knows enough. But 54€ p.P. for animals in far too small enclosures without any employment we would not have spent. Too bad about the money, we definitely advise against a visit! Animals can be seen in the wild in Costa Rica. That's what you fly there for. It was our own fault, we'll learn from it and we'll find out better next time.

Poor animals don’t have enough space - I felt sorry for the animals. Some of them have very little space. It is not worth 61$ per person. Inside the restaurants are also expensive.
