Highlights

Canada Place - Canada Place is a renowned landmark and venue for premier events and uniquely Canadian experiences, situated in the heart of Vancouver’s waterfront. It serves as the home port for Vancouver-Alaska cruises and hosts the Vancouver Convention Centre East, Pan Pacific Hotel, FlyOver Canada, World Trade Centre, and Indigo.

Coal Harbour - Despite being located downtown, Coal Harbour is a surprisingly tranquil neighborhood right on the water’s edge. Its calmness is unexpected given its industrial past as a former shipyard adjacent to the railway terminus. The area begins at Canada Place and extends west to Stanley Park, bordered by Burrard Inlet to the north and West Georgia Street to the south. Coal Harbour is a delightful blend of business and residential spaces, housing both the Vancouver Convention Centre and condo towers.

Vancouver Lookout - Ride a glass elevator up 168 meters (553 feet) to enjoy a 360° view that includes Stanley Park, historic Gastown, the Northshore mountains, and the vibrant downtown core. Since 1977, Vancouver Lookout has been a distinctive feature of the city’s skyline.

Chinatown - As one of Vancouver’s few distinct cultural historic neighborhoods, Chinatown attracts locals, tourists, and a growing number of emerging chefs, artists, and small business entrepreneurs. It offers a wide variety of stores, including home furnishings, health and wellness, fashion and attire, grocery, and much more.

Gastown - Gastown is one of Vancouver’s most lively and unique areas. As the city’s original downtown core, the neighborhood has evolved into a hub of innovation and memorable experiences for both locals and tourists, while maintaining a strong connection to its history.

Stanley Park - Discover the 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest and enjoy scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park’s famous Seawall.

Vancouver Seawall - Vancouver boasts the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path. The 28 km Seaside Greenway is an unbroken pathway, including the Stanley Park Seawall, that stretches from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Spanish Banks Park. Ideal for walking, cycling, or jogging, it is the city’s most popular recreational spot.

English Bay - English Bay Beach, also known as First Beach, is located along Beach Ave between Gilford St and Bidwell St and is the most frequented beach area in Vancouver’s downtown. The Stanley Park Seawall, a favored running and biking route, runs along the east side of the beach.

Robson Street - Robson Street, one of Vancouver’s earliest streets, was named in honor of John Robson, Premier of British Columbia from 1889-1892. Its commercial roots date back to 1895 when train tracks were laid along Robson Street to Jervis St. A variety of small specialized shops emerged to serve Vancouver’s rapidly growing population, making Robson a street of prime homes and social activities.

Granville Island - Granville Island’s charm lies in its eclectic mix of uses. The renowned Public Market, open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, features over 50 independent food vendors and contributes to the Island’s reputation as a culinary hotspot. The Net Loft Shops and the Artisan District showcase many of Canada’s top artists and designers. Granville Island also hosts numerous cultural venues and year-round performing arts and cultural festivals.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden - The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver merges traditional Chinese garden design with the Pacific Northwest landscape. Built as a symbol of friendship between Canada and China, it features Ming Dynasty-style architecture and serene elements like winding paths and tranquil waterways. Visitors can explore pavilions and courtyards, attend cultural events, and learn about Chinese culture and horticulture. It’s a peaceful oasis promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

Queen Elizabeth Park - Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver’s horticultural gem, is a major attraction for floral display enthusiasts and view-seekers, and a popular backdrop for wedding photos. At 125 m above sea level, it’s the highest point in Vancouver, offering spectacular views of the park, city, and North Shore mountains.

Totem Poles - The totem poles in Stanley Park are among the park’s most iconic landmarks. There are nine totem poles, each representing a different First Nations tribe. Originally created in the 1920s, the totem poles showcase Indigenous art and culture.

Girl In A Wetsuit - The Girl in a Wetsuit Statue is a bronze sculpture located near the Stanley Park Seawall. It depicts a woman in a wetsuit sitting on a rock and gazing out at the water. It’s a popular spot for photos and enjoying scenic views.

Hollow Tree - The Hollow Tree is a 700-year-old tree in Stanley Park that has become a popular tourist attraction. The tree has a hollow center that visitors can walk through, making it a favored spot for photos and learning about the park’s history.

Prospect Point Lookout - Prospect Point is the highest point in Stanley Park, offering panoramic views of the park and the city. It’s a popular spot for tourists to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

Brockton Point Lighthouse - The Brockton Point Lighthouse is a favored spot for tourist photos. Built in 1914, the lighthouse is still operational today. Located at the eastern end of Stanley Park, it offers stunning views of the city and harbor.

Stanley Park Rose Garden - The Rose Garden in Stanley Park is a beautiful garden featuring over 3,500 rose bushes. It’s a popular spot for photos and enjoying the colorful flowers.

Inukshuk - An Inukshuk in Vancouver, Canada, is an Inuit sculpture used for navigation. It resembles an abstract human form with outstretched arms.

David Lam Park - David Lam Park spans nearly a dozen acres along False Creek at 1300 Pacific Boulevard, next to Yaletown, about halfway between the Granville Street and Cambie Street bridges. It’s one of the most notable parks in downtown Vancouver.

Steam Clock - A functioning steam clock, one of only a few in the world, located in Vancouver’s Victorian Gastown. The clock is a major tourist attraction and marks the start and finish line of the Gastown Grand Prix, a single-day cycling race.

Third Beach - Located at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park, Third Beach is a naturally sandy beach surrounded by trees that shield visitors from urban noise. It’s an excellent spot for quiet bathing, picnics, and watching sunsets.

Thorough and accommodating tour of Vancouver - Excellent tour of Vancouver. Our guide Shannon was so knowledgeable about Vancouver and I still can’t believe she got us to all requested sites in our 8 hour tour, plus she gave us a driving tour of all major neighborhoods. She was smart, interesting, accommodating, and honest. Exactly what we were looking for! We’ll definitely return to Vancouver!

Awesome day with Adrian in Vancouver! - Adrian was awesome! We had a ton of luggage from our Alaska cruise. He picked us up promptly from the port terminal in Vancouver and got ALL our luggage and 4 of us in one vehicle and dropped us off at the airport to check our luggage, as our flight wasn't until midnight and then we left for the tour all day. He took us around the city and we got a great dose of what Vancouver was all about! He dropped us all off at the airport at the end of the day. We highly recommend him!

Tour of Vancouver - We had the most amazing day with Gaby. She was lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable. Even though it was a private tour, Gaby knew when to hold back and leave us to enjoy our surroundings. I can highly recommend her for this tour and hope to meet her again the next time I’m in Canada.

Vancouver in a day? YES! YES! YES! - Shannon (tour guide) and Lao (in training) were fantastic. Highly recommend the private tour experience to anyone. The day is yours to see, eat, shop, rest, hurry, linger as you wish. Enjoy a stop? Stay longer! Want to skip a stop or move along quicker? Something else you want to see? Your choice! Need someone to take a photo of you? If they’re able, they’ll use your device. Questions about the area? Dining or shopping suggestions? Shannon and Lao were full of knowledge, advice, helpful hints, must do’s! A Full and complete tour of city made us feel as if we’d been in Vancouver for a week! Saw everything, did everything, got exactly what was promised (and more!) from brochure. Only improvement suggestion might be a confirmation from the local tour operator that they have your information and booking will be be at at pick up spot as scheduled. Maybe the day before? Or? That’s nitpicking because Shannon WAS EARLY and called us for pick up, 100% reliable. Local tour provider confirmation (along with all the Viator reminders) would have offered additional peace of mind. Tour was fantastic. Shannon (and Lao) were great!

Vancouver all Day Tour. - Our tour guide Shannon was friendly and acommodating to our needs. She picked us right on time, and dropped us off at the Airport, which was a plus. However, we feel the tour is very expensive for what it offers. The majority of the places we visited where near to the convention center. The China Town area is super depresing with the homeless all over the streets, perhaps it should be remove from the tour. The highlighs of the tour was Granville Island and Stanley Park Rose Gardens.
