Additional Information

Our day tour in Squamish commences with an exploration of the esteemed Britannia beach Mine Museum. Within the mine, we become privy to a comprehensive narration detailing mining methods and historical events, a session lasting approximately 1.3 hours. Subsequently, Mr Lawrence will guide us on a 20-minute nature hike to the foot of the awe-inspiring Shannon Falls, a cascade three times the height of Niagara Falls. Next, we board the newly established Sea-to-Sky gondola ascending to the Summit Lodge. Crossing the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge stretching 100 meters, we enjoy a leisurely 20-minute stroll on the Panorama Trail leading to an observation point rendered outstanding by views of the Sound, and the imposing Chief climbing mountain. Lunch waits at the Howe Sound Brewing Company, a prominent restaurant in Squamish ensconced within a large local log/plank building, where we savor their culinary offerings and beverages. Please be aware that the Railway Heritage Park will remain closed until June 1, 2020. To cap off this exciting day, we pay a visit to the West Coast Railway Heritage Museum for a firsthand glimpse at the renowned Royal Hudson steam train and an impressive collection of railway relics.

Super Day in Squamish! - We had a wonderful day with Michael touring the Squamish region. Picked us up at the port with our luggage and spent the whole day touring the area. Weather turned out great and we had beautiful views from the gondola. We really enjoyed the mine tour and seeing Shannon Falls. Great lunch at the brewery. Michael has a very comfortable van with extra touches like umbrellas and blankets. He has so much knowledge and loves sharing his home. Highly recommend.
