• Cerro Concepcion - Cerro Concepción - before, hill of Our Lady of La Concepción - is one of the more than forty that Valparaíso has. Its name is due to the fort that had risen there for the defense of the city. It has also been called Cabo and Chivato, the latter appellant that is due to a mythological being who supposedly lived at the foot of the hill. Apparently the story would have gained strength when part of the hill was dynamited and a large cave was discovered, baptized as Cueva del Chivato.

Leave from the hotel for the Valparaíso region. On route, stop to visit the Veramonte winery situated in the Casablanca valley (optional wine sampling, tour not included). Enjoy a guided stroll through the old district of Valparaíso, an area protected by UNESCO and declared ‘World Heritage’. It’s truly a pleasing sight to experience Street Art and murals displayed on the narrow roads and alleyways as you navigate up and down slopes. Lunch will be in Viña del Mar, set along the seafront. Continue with a scenic drive along the coastal promenade before returning to Santiago.
