Fantastic experience with great host - The most amazing day touring the coast from a local perspective! The host was knowledgeable and gave insights we otherwise would have never gotten on our own. The lunch location was fantastic and the wine tasting breathtaking. Highly recommend!

A Full Day of Fun and Color - What a nice day- our guide was super knowledgable and friendly and was originally from the area making it both a personal and educational experience. The funicular was a great addition and the lunch spot chosen was both scenic and appetizing. In truth, this is a trip that could be done by oneself fairly easily and for much cheaper vs. booking a tour. Having said that, if you want a tour, this is the one to book. They are professional, smart and reliable.

A Very Good Tour - Through Viator (a tripadvisor company) - This is a very good tour, Franchesca, the tour guide was very knowlegable and spoke excellent english and Hector was a skilled and careful driver. I would make two suggestions - the tour notes should contain information about walking the many steps and steep roads, and the restaurant chosen for the group was good but could be better and would be more convienet if close to the many shops in the town.

The bad reviews for this tour are true! - I read some of the reviews before choosing but I try to keep an open mind when reading them. Oh no, they were correct. I don’t mean don’t go to Valparaiso, just choose your tour company wisely. We were picked up a half hour late due to traffic (he should know) in a fairly dirty car. Daniel spoke English, but it was sometimes hard to understand. The commentaries were brief and not very informative. It’s true the “wine tasting” was a grocery store type place! (Photo added) And there were no snacks whatsoever. In fact, we did not eat the entire day. Most of the sites were drive bys for pics and thats all. Maybe we should have asked but I feel its the tour operator’s responsibility to ask and find out what the customer would like and what we have time for. He kind of asked if we wanted a coffee and I said well it’s 12:20, I think it’s wine time (hint hint). Nope, we just kept on walking and got back in the car. The 2 highlights were the walk by the beach and the Moai statue. We returned to our hotel by 2:45. That’s a 5 hour tour, not even close to 10 as the description said! I never write bad reviews, but this one needed to be done. Waste of $$
