Valletta walking tour - If you want a well-paced, history-packed tour of Valletta, this three-hour guided walk is the way to go. With a knowledgeable (and delightfully witty) guide leading the way, you’ll explore the city’s UNESCO-listed streets, stopping at landmarks like the Grandmaster’s Palace, St. John’s Co-Cathedral, and Fort St. Elmo. Along the way, you’ll dive into Malta’s fascinating history, culture, and architecture—all without feeling like you’re stuck in a history lecture. Plus, with stops at the Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens, you’ll get some of the best panoramic views in town.

Engaging and Informative Walking Tour with an Exceptional Guide - We had an excellent walking tour with Matthew in Malta, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide! His deep knowledge of the country’s history, particularly Valletta, made the experience both educational and engaging. Matthew had a fantastic way of bringing Malta’s past to life, sharing fascinating stories and insights that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. He was also incredibly responsive to all our questions, taking the time to explain everything in detail while keeping the tour interesting and interactive. His passion for Malta was evident, and his friendly, pleasant demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a memorable way to explore Valletta, I highly recommend this tour with Matthew. It was well-paced, informative, and an overall fantastic way to learn about this incredible city!

Great - Very informative and interesting, gave us a flavour of Valletta. Our guide was friendly and spoke good English. Good tip re buying tickets online for St John’s Co-Cathedral to skip the queue and not to go on cruise ship days!

Beautiful tour, informative guide! - The Valletta Walking Tour is an exceptional way to explore the rich history and stunning architecture of Malta’s capital city. Whether you're a history buff or simply looking to discover the beauty of Valletta, this tour offers a fantastic overview of the city, guided by knowledgeable and passionate local experts. The tour begins with a brief introduction to Valletta’s origins, before taking you through its narrow, picturesque streets, where you’ll see some of the most iconic landmarks, including St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Upper Barracca Gardens, and the Grand Master's Palace. The guides are incredibly well-versed in the history of the city, sharing fascinating anecdotes about Valletta’s role in the Knights of St. John and its pivotal place in Mediterranean history. They do an excellent job of bringing the past to life, making the historical context both informative and engaging. One of the highlights of the tour is the incredible views from the Upper Barracca Gardens, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities. It’s a perfect spot for photos and a chance to take in the beauty of the surroundings. The pace of the tour is comfortable, with plenty of opportunities for stops, questions, and photographs. The small group setting allows for a more personal experience, and the guides are happy to share local tips and recommendations for food, shopping, and things to do after the tour. The only downside might be the crowds in certain parts of Valletta, especially near popular landmarks. However, the tour guide does a great job of navigating these areas, ensuring that the experience is still enjoyable. Overall, the Valletta Walking Tour is an excellent way to see the best of Valletta, especially if you're short on time or want a comprehensive introduction to the city. It’s a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting Malta. Also big well done to our guide Matthew! He was fancy!
