The Call of the Canyon

As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves of Central America, but the call of the land sometimes beckons me away from the ocean’s embrace. This time, it was the allure of Somoto Canyon in the Valle de Sonis that captured my imagination. Known for its stunning stone walls and the Coco River that winds through it, the canyon promised an adventure unlike any other.

My wife and I, both seasoned adventurers, decided to take a break from our usual surf spots and dive into something new.
